Sports commentators. Which ones do you like, which ones do you hate?

This threads not limited to any sport or country.

The usual Sky commentators Andy Gray and Martin Tyler, also the BBCs John Motson. I hate the guy from Channel 5 though, his voice really irratates me.

I hated Jon Motson and Andy Gray when they were doing the FIFA games. They were just so goddamned annoying. I like Jim Hughson, though.

The best sport commentator team has gotta be the old NBC NBA basketball team:mike Fratello,Ahmad Rashad,Tom Tolbert etc.

The worst baseball announcer without a doubt has to be Tim McCarver. How the hell is he still on national television? I prefer Harry "Outta Here!" Kalas (seeing as I'm a Phillies fan)


On the whole, I prefer the radio announcers for the Phillies and the Eagles. Television announcers such as Marv for NBA aren't bad though.

College football (ESPN) - love Lee Corso! That man has to be three hundred years old but he knows his stuff.


Local college football- our Razorback announce team: Quinn Grovey, Keith Jackson and Paul Eels. They're so great and they work wonderfully as a team.
