In a recent discussion with a friend of mine, the Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe was brought up. I think it is one of the greatest stories ever written. He does not. How do you feel about the story?

To be honest, I didn't realize there was a books board.

I read it for the first time in Jr. High and didn't really care about it, but reading it now I think it's one of the best stories written by one of the best authors.

What kinda question is this? This Tell Tale Heart is perhaps the most haunting and maddening pieces by Edgar Allan Poe, perhaps of all horror stories.

Masque of the red death has always seemed more haunting to me even though it is by far less grotesque.

Poe is great. I never liked his stuff when I was forced to read it in Junior High, but now I have better tatse in stories I guess...

It only goes for about a few pages. It was ok, but not all the hype around it these days makes you think what the fuss is all about.

I prefer The Cask of Amontillado. Its still, to this day, my favorite short story.
