The Ultimate line

alright.....maybe this has been up here b/f....but i just wanted to know ppls opinion of the Ultimate line...b/c ive read responses to things in a couple of these threads that seem to be negative...???

i dont understand this b/c ive been reading comics for years now. and i personally think that Ultimate Spiderman is one of the best comics out there....i know i dont read all comics, but still....its is one of the funnest and most entertaining comics every month that ive ever read....and its just plan consistent in its great delivery....i just wanted to know what others think?

also...i think Ultimate X-Men is the best X-book out there right now...Xtreme SUPREMELY sucks and Uncanny is going down the drains as we speak....granted...New X-Men is awesome most all of the time...but still with its flaws....i think Ultimate is a solid piece almost every month....

the Ultimates is also good (though i read it only occasionally) and all of the Ulitmate-minis ive read have been superb as well...so ya...

Xtreme is some of the worst ****tery to come out of comics in years. My favorite X-book is New X-Men. If you are not reading it, you should be.

The ultimate line happens to be one of my favorite comic series out at this moment.

Ultimate is good, but it seems rushed at times...

I loved Kuberts art, as well as Millar's writing, but i'm not sold on Bendis yet, (all though Finch seems to be a nice replacement)

I'll probably be picking up Ultimate F4 when it's launched.

Ultimate Spiderman is one of the best comics ever in my opinion!

Ultimate X-Men is sort of okay, and I haven't read the Ultimates yet (but I like what they've done with Iron Man!:D )

how du guys like ultimate daredevil & elektra?
and id like to order "guardian devil" & "parts of a whole" together. im not sure if they are realy good...what do you guys think? is it worth?

and what abotu punisher? damn, i realy like the old novels, but i can't get any new stuff here(not even a picture of how it looks and what series/line) i have to order it, blindly. so how's the punisher?

Ultimate Spider Man is the best but I really hope the black cat arc coming up is good because I personally have felt we havent had a lot of great things from ultimate spidey in a while. Geldoff was meh in my opinion and I reread the venom arc last night and was kinda dissapointed by it but I liked how they set it up so when he does come back that arc should be amazing. The Kingpin thing they just had was in my opinion just a filler. Like they were setting it up for somehting else and just needed something but I did enjoy it.

The Ultimate six is really great though I missed the first issue but the other three I've read have been fantastic.

I recently bought the Ultimates volume one collection of comics and really enjoyed that.

As for Ultimate X-Men I thought it started out strong with the sentinels and then the weapon X. I loved those two. Then with world tour I thought it was mediocre and I hated hellfire and brimstone. I will continue to buy the collections because the Return of the King looks really good. So I think it has its ups and downs.

Looking forward to Ultimate Fantastic FOur

i havent found myself really let down by Ultimate Spiderman yet. i thought the rehash of Venom was awesome - it added more of a realism to it than the space symbiote concept. the Geldoff story was a bit weak, but i think that the character development was really good (as always). and i really enjoyed the whole Kingpin2 saga, especially the last issue! jamesons development in the arc was really awesome, IMO, and i was lmao w/the restaurant scene at the end. i just hope that the book keeps going w/its successful writing.

i agree w/u on the Ultimate X-men. it seems to be a hit-and-miss situation. Hellfire and Brimstone was WAY drawn out then rushed, IMO...rather pointless overall (though i did like the coming of the phoenix scene. Return of the King was a TOTALLY awesome arc, and prolly my favorite as a whole (i did like the Ultimates vs. X-men crossover as well a whole lot)....but now the whole Wolverine/Spiderman saga was, again, on the weaker side for delivery...but im looking forward to the intro of Angel and others in the coming arc! :)
