I got an e-mail 2day from Amazon.com that said Ed Wood is available to pre-order. The region 1 DVD version of it will be released on Feb 3rd. I don't know if this has been posted...I couldn't find NEthing on it so I decided to post it.

Here's the specs...

- New anamorphic widescreen transfer
- Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround
- Audio commentary with director Tim Burton, actor Martin Landau, screenwriters Scott Alexander & Larry Karazewski, costume designer Colleen Atwood, and cinematographer Stefan Czapsky
- Deleted scenes
- "Let's Shoot This F#*%@r!" behind-the-scenes documentary
- "The Theremin" featurette
- "Making Bela" featurette on Rick Baker's makeup
- "Pie Plates Over Hollywood" featurette on production design
- "When Carol Met Larry" featurette with cross-dressers talking about Ed Wood
- Music video co-directed by Burton and choreographer Toni Basil
- Theatrical trailer

The DVD does indeed arrive on Feb. 3rd. www.davisdvd.com is my source, and there's also some information (like a Buena Vista website title page) that hints at a possible DVD Director's Cut in the future, although that is older news.

Sometimes I'm glad I'm a European. Got this disc a LONG time ago :)

Oh man! This might be the best Tim Burton movie ever, and certainly the most overlooked. It should come as a package deal with a special edition of Plan 9 From Outer Space! This movis SO rocks! I think I've said it all.

I like the original cover better. It showed more of Ed Wood's wackiness.

Yeah, I admit this is a more "dramatic" cover, but hey, maybe this is what Burton wanted, and it's really his choice.
