Just imagine some other guy playing Neo in Revolution! And that wouldnt be as bad as it would be with Jim not playing Ace!!!!

Mask is a movie about the MASK, so anyone could wear it! He had thrown it away at the end, so if someone else get it... he will probably not be the same character as Ipkiss was (cartoon loving kinda shy dude...) so the character and the apearance of the Mask would not be the same! But the story still works!

Ace would suck some serious ass without Jim!

There isn't even a script for ace 3. Plus, think how ace 2 was, and then think what happened to the major league movies as each movie wnet. THEY SUCKED MORE AND MORE PER MOVIE. Ace 3 will suck, leave the ace alone.

It's a little too early to say its going to suck. They are working on the script right now. If the script is right, Carrey may do it. The movie did give him his start. Its been along time, so the jokes may not seem AS lame as they did in Ace Ventura 2. We just have to wait and see.

i heard something about jims carrer goin down the toilet and they were thinkin about doing an ace 3 if bruce almighty bombed but it turned out to be one of his most highest grossing movies so he doesnt need to go back to his roots with ace 3 to help his career.

it wouldnt be right. and i distinctly remember reading a jim interview where he said there is no way he would make another one, he don't like sequels. and plus he's at the time in his career where he is focusing on more serious comedy/dramas, i dont think another ace movie would fit in there

I've been waiting for a third Ace movie for years. If Jim Carrey ain't in it then its a total waste. He is Ace, no one could portray it like he can. Its like having someone else play the role of Hans Solo, or getting Nemo to play Jaws.

The first Ace movie was excellent, the second was even better, a third (only with Jim) would definately be near the top of my must see list. :D :D :D

Well, so far Dumb and Dumberer bombed, and I expect Son of the Mask to do the same...the CGI will likely be weaker and Alan Cumming (as the voice of the kid with the Mask's powers) will not be as good as Jim Carrey, mainly because Son of the Mask is intended to be a family film. Personal opinion: If Ace 3 has got Carrey on board, go for it. But I'm getting increasingly tired of Jim Carrey franchises being sequelized without him -- if I see a Liar Liar 2, I'm probably going to become violent.

Don't get me wrong -- Tom Green can be funny. Freddy Got Fingered is simply decidedly not. Even if the movie was the least bit amusing instead of just psychotically, insanely gross, it played like a bad John Waters rip-off.
