Whats the difference between "Banned" and "Banned Status"?

Maybe banned means their screen name was banned,and banned status means their IP is banned?Not sure,but I do know that we have a probation status..

Actually I was serious, when it says "Banned" the person was banned by a moderator like Iben or Tyross, if it says "Banned Status", either Mirko, Malice or I banned them. I checked to see what the difference was, turns out only how mnay PM's one of them can send at a time...which is pointless since banned users can't send PM's. So there is no real difference.
