I don't know if this was mentioned long before my time here but I just realized it a couple of weeks ago. The system failure at the end of the first Matrix movie, which initially I thought was the matrix code, is just the phone tracing program shown at the beginning tracing Trinity and Cyphyer's call. That's all, just clear that up for others who were like me.

Yeah it is Neo talking to the tracing program through the phone system. I wasn't quite sure on this either at first.
