Me just asking - what makes ROTK so big to make up words?

It's basically exactly the same stats as Matrix Revolutions - actually less evil things (Matrix 3 has 1/4 of a mill, ROTK has 1/5)

But i says the word:

grandé-google-pur-plexify-ing is a suitable word...

there is going to be the biggest battle ever. conclusion to the book of the 20th century

jpdill

LOL - you don't know if it's going to be the biggest battle ever.

Warner have kept very hush hush about their Matrix 3 - if you look at how much the battle costs and what actually happens in the battle, you'll see it's far more complex...

The Revolutionary Battle was the longest scene to film, as it involved so much digital stuff, as well as live action.

Plus, if Matrix or ROTK is the biggest battle, Harry Potter and Star Wars's will be even bigger!!! Yahoo!!!!

The Moose

well, in Revolutions, are you going to have all those 250,000 machines on the screen at once? there are 200,000 orcs on screen at one time. the reason we know this is because Alan Lee said that "it will probably be the biggets battle ever"

BOTPF had heaps of live action, but i don't know how much time they spent filming it, cos all 3 movies were filmed over 15 months

there is not going to be a battle with over 200,000 people in HP, and the SW battles, although they have heaps of clones, there are not going to be 200,000 of them either

Yeah but Matrix revolutions is not huge and epic like lotr its just guys in jets fighting flying robot squids shooting lazers. LOTR is an epic hand to hand fighting battle with swords axes and spears thats what makes it so cool. But the matrix is still fun to watch but lotrs sticks with you a lot longer after atleast for me.

Yeh - at the end of the 5th book, it's revealed a War against Voldemort has started.

There's going to be a huge battle in London - cinematically it'll be amazing...

there is not going to be a battle with over 200,000 people in HP, and the SW battles, although they have heaps of clones, there are not going to be 200,000 of them either

1) Harry Potter - Battle of London. Wizards, Wiches and Aurors from all over the world come to fight against Voldemort, Cave Trolls, Vampires and all the other creatures Voldemort persuades.

2) SW3's battle will over take ROTK's automatically. You seem to miss the point that people don't want to be an empire, so armys like The Wookie Army will fight for the Republic (which we get to see - we'll see many many planets all fighting a war against the Empire). So it'll be way over 200, 000 as there are millions of people per planet.

Plus, the opening battle of the Clone War is set in Corucsant - we'll have tonnes of things happening there, as people don't want their skyscrapers to be destroyed.

Er - yes. Haven't you seen the new TV spots?

And it's over 250 000, because there are new bigger robots, aswell as Sentinels. Revolutions will probably be around 3 hours.

Watch the new trailers for Revolutions - the leader of the robots looks so cool!!!

It's rated R (15 in the UK) so the violence and war feel will be more realistic than ROTKs (as ROTK can't have the human heads being thrown, as in the book. Plus, even though T3 was violent, you're only allowed so much in a 12A).

i know that PJ has to deliver a PG-13 film, but for the battle in Revolutions, how are the machines conrtolled? (in terms of the graphics, and where and what they attack). ROTK is over 3 hours, PJ has confirmed that

Neo has breached the Matrix - there's also an Agent inside Zion, giving his boss all the info the boss wants.

Knowing that the humans have a resistance, the Robot Leader (seen in the trailers talking to Neo) sends out more of his troops - new designs.

Then Neo turns out to have been kidnapped (i don't the rest of that part). Trinity is told she must fight and never give up.

Well the humans only have a few hours until all of Zion is destroyed - so all tyhe Captains, Warriors and Normal people start getting ready for a huge battle - basically it's a Terminator Future War battle, that costs $40 million and is very complecated.

The battle for Zion is meant to take place in the Sewers, but more importantly, above the sewers on Scorched Earth.

As well as this huge battle, there's more fights and battles inside the Matrix. When the cast and crew were saying "It's an event" and "It's gonna be huge", they were on about the 3rd Matrix film, not the 2nd.

Also, unlike LOTR, where they used AI to make their Orcs (with Weta being lazy bums, and not actually making indevidual Orcs/Humans), MATRIX's robots are all indevidual, as it's impossible for them to fight using AI (as all the humans are real).

The reason why the Clones were great looking in SW2 was because ILM actually mde each Clone on the computer - WETA used an Agent creator.

The difference between Weta and ILM is that ILM puts more effort into the small things - Weta only focuses on the big.

By far, if all the Sentinels were indevidually done, Matrix 3 will automatically get that Oscar - no doubt about it. Using an agent programs is good and quick, but you don't make them any different in appearance. Indevidual CGI is far better looking...

The Moose
09-14-2003, 05:15 AM
i've lost you somewhere in there. but ROTK will get the oscar

jpdill
09-14-2003, 09:53 AM
Er - no. But even if it does get the SFX awards, it won't get ANY of the major ones (Best Film, Actor, Actress, Director).

Some of you fanatics think it'll get it, but it won't. Be realistic here.

And Jackson won't get the award for Director because all his ideas are taken from other films, and merged into one "original" idea.

He's taken a scene from The Lost World (when the biker rides under the dino's legs) and then changed the dinosaur to a huge Elephant (It's seen in the Preview). It's not original...

Also, i fear that he'll make the Shelob scene a direct copy of SW2's Ackley scene (Which GL probably copied from the LOTR book)

jpdill

Well Spiderman and SW3 will blast all current films out of the water anyway - roll on 2004/2005!

well, is revolutions going to get best director? actor? film? answer =NO. LOTR will win SFX again. certain to

jpdill
09-15-2003, 12:03 PM
Even tho. it's likely, don't under ANY circumstances say it will win. Nor say it's certain too.

jpdill

Cos' people may be more impressed with a robot-king pin, than towards a man dressed in a suit.

IMO, that $40 million battle scene (which is over the entire budget of Spy Kids 3D) will be the ticket to the Oscars.

The Moose
09-15-2003, 07:27 PM
well, you can think what you wish, and i can't change that. but i keep my opinion. i think LOTR won SFX for FOTR and TTT, so i see no reason for it not to win when ROTK is a massive step up
