Remember when MTV actually played music videos? I remember videos were more than just showing the band playing songs - some were artistic pieces.

Here's some of the videos that stand out in my mind..

Naked Eyes - "Always Something There to remind me" - It may not be that artistic but the story was close to home.

Wow. I must be really out of touch. Where/when is a good place to catch the videos. The only groups I recognize are Enimem, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Coldplay.

Nowdays the half of the videos looks the same: big houses, cars and girls with many many many shiny objects and with such powerfull colors that you can stay blind if you watch it too long (Hype Williams style).
The other half is made by other side of commercial directing.
