The sequel to Battle Royale is out now. I just found that out. It'll be out on DVD (region 2 with no subtitles) on Dec. 21st, who knows when/if they'll get it dubbed. I don't really care, I hate dubbing. They need to subtitle it though. Either way it sounds crazier than the first one.
The story being: It's 3 years since Shuya Nanahara escaped Battle Royale and he's being accused of terrorist activity. Also Shiori Kitano gets into the Battle Royale organization after his father is murdered. The rules have changed; there are 2 teams and everyone is out to kill Nanahara in 3 days. Another trick is that people from different teams are linked together. If your alternate on the other team dies, your necklace will explode.
I'm pretty excited about seeing it. The first I thought was well acted (as far as I could tell - it was all in Japanese) and the idea was kinda cool. I figured it would just be some stupid action/violence movie but it wasn't. The sequel sounds like it's going to be better.
