I liked the movie, however the ending was disappointing. And very hollywood'ish' The book is poorly written however it is intresting. Chuck is ovbiously new to the whole writting a novel thing.

YOU ARE A STUPID IDIOT. It was not poorly written at all it was just written strangley. There is a differece. And I have seen the movie now and it is my favorite movie tied with the matrix.

Strangly... poorly... the guy spaces his sentences to make the book seem larger. If you are impressed with his "style" or lack of...
then good for you. I found to be amateurish at best. It's disjointed, rambling, and uses a language the dumb guy in everyones highschool english class could understand. Cliffnotes for this book would be a post-it-note's worth. I liked the story, just I'm not impressed with his ability to flesh it out and articulate it. His writing is so obviously taken from the works of Kurt Vonnegut, Don Delillo, and William Buroughs. All of which have done it long ago and much better.

The ending in the book is far better than the crap they spewed on screen...

If you liked Fight Club, you should definitely check out Palahniuk's other works. His books have only gotten better.

I finished the book recently and let my friend borrow it. I saw the movie a while ago, and don't remember it much, but I'm glad, because I always think the book is better unless I see the movie first.. then I sit there reading the book, thinking "It didn't go like this in the movie!".... it takes a certain brain capacity to understand my way of thinking, unless you already know what I'm talking about.

I lent my friend fight club. But he is not very smart or openminded and he thinks reading is for losers. He's had it two months and is on the third chapter.
