Yes... he has the record for most home runs ALL TIME... but Roger Maris had the record for most home runs in a single season until Mark McGwire broke the record (I dont consider Mark McGwire's record to be a real record cuz i think he definetly used steroids) and then Barry Bonds broke that record (which i dont consider to be the record wither because Barry Bonds took steroids as well i think) So until someone tru beats Roger Maris's record i think hes the number 1 guy.

Yeah but you have to look at their entire carreer. yes Marris had a good season. But that was just one season both the season before and after he hit nowhere near 61 home runs. Aaron was more consistant. which is why I feel he is the best.

I agree with you about McGwire and Bonds.

Hank Aaron is slightly underated considering he holds THE record....

I made my choice based upon a scenario where my team's losing 5-2 in the bottom of the ninth, bases loaded with two-outs...the ball has to leave the park. I'd want Bonds.

Bonds isn't the most loveable player ever, but what he's accomplished in the past half decade is absolutely amazing. I've been watching baseball for 25 years and there hasn't been another player like him in that span. Juiced-up? Who knows...we know Big Mac took androstenedione, but there's never been anything confirmed on Bonds. All I know is that if a pitcher makes the slightest mistake with Bonds on location, that ball is leaving the yard.

All you CSer's know that there is one guy that tops all of MLB's homerun records... Sadaharu Oh... he is the japanese league's all time HR king with 868 HR's... 113 more than Hank Aaron...

but overall, Bonds is a the most feared power hitter...
