Nope. Lion King is the best disney movie out there and best movie for children. Personally it's one of my top 10. Finding Nemo was good but it will never be as good as The Lion King.

Lion King shall not be beat. Maybe Nemo will make more money, but Lion King is a far better movie.

No No No Finding Nemo will not beat The Lion King at the box office if you count inflation it grossed $486,057,806 Nemo will likely not beat that so the record is preserved.

Yeah but, we don't count inflation, so it will beat it.
I loved the Lion King, but Finding Nemo was better, IMO.

Not sure that it's been announced yet, only that it will be one of the 10 that disney is giving special edition treatment to; Lion King comes to dvd on October 7th

I never saw Finding Nemo, i know call me crazy, probably the only person in the country who hasn't seen it.
But I still don't want it to beat Lion King, there's so much **** in The Lion King that is awesome, and the meaning of the whole movie, and just everything, it's one of my favorite Disney movies.
But if/when it goes by the Lion King at least it'll be close

I dont know why everbody likes The Lion King. I saw it when I was six and it sucked. I just hate all musicals. They bore me. Oh the only animated Disney movie I liked was Toy Story.

Toy Story is hands down the best Disney movie, that and the second one, the second one is almost as funny and maybe funnier than the first, but I still love the first more

I didn't hate it, but I preferred many other disney movies to The Lion King. I thought Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast were better movies.
My faveourite animated movie is Toy Story 2

Lion King will always be a classic, great movie!! I was obsessed with that movie when I fist saw it, I knew all the words to the songs and I had a lot of Lion King Merchandise. But Finding Nemo was one of the funniest animated movie I've ever seen, that whale talking part was so funny I was almost in tears because I was laughing so hard.

To me, Disney's The Lion King is a blatant plagiarism of Japan's Kimba the White Lion. Therefore I do not consider it Disney's finest. The creators of Kimba the White Lion should receive a percentage of all profits Disney made from The Lion King.

Lion King and Aladdin were the best truly Disney movies ever. If it wasn't for there deal with Pixar they wouldn't have had a good movie in years.
I haven't seen Nemo yet but my 3-year old liked it when she went with her grandmother.

Lion KIng.
Easily the best Disney film. It was more than just a cartoon, there were important messages in there.

Considering how many other Pixar and Disney films ive enjoyed more than Finding Nemo, it feels kinda weird to me with how much money it's made. Good critic reviews and advertising I guess.

The Lion King is an epic! I am watching it even as we speak and let me tell you, it's even better than I remember it (the last time I watched it was almost 5 years ago. Right now I understand movies better since I'm older)
I thought that Finding Nemo was good but it uses the new technical stuff. Kids are getting more interested in the movies made by more advanced stuff. It makes me sad that it seems that no one was to curl up with a good old-fashioned animated movie

I liked Finding Nemo.....but I LOVE LION KING. I saw it 6 times at the theater when it came out and I was 22 at the time. I even went to see it when they re-released it during the Christmas season in 94' ( Saw it 3 times first run release 3 weeks in a row. 2 times at the re-release and 1 time at the dollar show. Searched every Best Buy and Kmart for it when it came out on video) Nothing compares to the Lion King for me :applaud: Mufasa rules :D

But I'm glad Finding Nemo's overtaken Lion King in gross receipts. Time for new digital animation to take over.
Yes i'm one of those.

The Lion King is better IMHO. I have seen almost every Disney movie, including Finding Nemo, and none of them really come close. Finding Nemo was a really good movie too though.

Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin are at the top of my list for the best movies. I liked Finding Nemo, but I dont think of it as the best movie out there. I find the ones that have songs I can sing to, are the good Disney movies. No affense, but the Disney movies they are shelling out right now, are pure crap to the Disney movies I had when I was a child. The ones with acual singing in it.

That is why the industry is floundering, many a good animator are loosing their jobs because of it. Oh and those damn execs. are always taking over ruining everything. IMO Lion King is much better than Nemo. They are in different class anways.

The Lion King is a much better film. The only reason Nemo has passed it is because of inflation.
But even still, I have no clue why it's made so much more, especially in comparison to some of Pixar's much better past films.

I don't think they fully take into consideration things like inflation, box office ticket price differences, etc. when comparing which movie made more. I think instead of gross, they should look at numbers who have viewed the movie (actual ticket sale numbers), it would be more accurate.
As for which is better, The Lion King of course. Nemo was only decent, I agree with fannible, can't understand the huge box office numbers. What made Lion King so great was the music!
