i saw this movie tonight and i want my money back i spent to rent it. 88 minutes ill never get back. boring, dull, even the goriest moments of this movie were just plain ridiculous. this movie sat on the shelf before it was released for a long ass time, and now i saw why. only lion's gate studios was release this garbage. i would've given the movie back to rob zombie and be like," very funny, now wheres the real movie you made?" please do yourself a favor and NEVER see this movie, youll be glad you didnt. just doing a public service for everybody at CS! when i say save your money and dont see it.

Too late! I actually saw it in the theater. There was absolutely no plot and after 20 minutes you lose track of who's alive, who's dead, and basically who cares! A big disappointment.

Guess you two won't be seeing the sequel Rob Zombie has planned, huh? lol

It's Rob Zombie doing it. The dude has no film expertise. I went in not expecting anything good, in fact expecting it bad... and it ended up even worse.

I kind of thought of it as a movie length Rob Zombie music clip... only without any good music.
By the end of it, I was begging for Mariah's 'Glitter'.
Does that scare you too? :o

Can't really blame Rob when the film had to be cut hundreds of times to satisfy the suits who ran the studio that was gonna release it.

I still can't see how anybody thought this was a good horror movie.

I doubt that.
The movie itself was actually pretty predictable.

I think he meant the whole 'driving in teh car oh look at me i surviived but wait theres a killer in the backseat' scenario.
I agree with whoever said 'I'm a horror fan and this movie blew ass'

yeah, i saw that happening from the minute i walked into the theatre and the credits started rolling
predictable to me is like when i guessed that al pacino was the bad guy in The Recruit before i ever stepped foot into the theater. or when i figured out 5 minutes into SWAT that colin ferrell's partner would be behind the big escape plan.
the movie reminded me a lot of the texas chainsaw massacre and surprised me in a lot of areas. i think most horror fans would agree that house of 1,000 corpses was a good horror film.

I consider myself a huge horror buff, from the second I saw the car driving down the road I figured what would happen......unfortunally by then i didn't really care because the movie made me want to vomit.

It wasn't the characters I could predict (as psychic as I may be  ) but the outcome of certain situations in that movie... you'd have to be blind not to see some of them coming.
It was like Rob was trying to have a hack at my common sense before chopping up the characters.

They aren't narrow minded,it's called an opinion. Now,I don't think this movie was good by any horror standards, but it gave me and ny friends something to do.Besides,it's directed by Rob Zombie, not exactly a great filmaker.

well said! I seriously doubt whether I'll see anything quite so bad and even lacking any kind of humour to take the mick out of....I won't be seeing JC2 either.

You've gotta be kidding. 98% Of all horror movies have a happy ending. This one didn't. I really dug this movie. I thought it was better than "TCM". Atleast this movie had some blood and gore.
I also liked how they showed the flashbacks of Baby as the news reporter on the radio was talking about those missing cheerleaders. It was like they were showing you theres a wolf in sheeps clothing amongst the four teens but they don't know it yet.

I rented this movie last week and after I watched it I was so glad that I did'nt waste any time on seeing it in theaters, I'm glad I saw Bringing Down The House instead. This movie was just plain horrible with the exception of Captain Spaulding, and Karen Black. This movie imo doesnt need or deserve a sequel.

many horror movies also had the same ending as house of 100 corpses. you think the person escapes and the bad guy pops up at the end. its happened countless times. and one question. wouldnt she have seen the guy in the backseat when she got in the car?

K...What other horror films end like that??
I know what u did last summer
I still know what u did last summer....

Comparing a guy rising out of the backseat with a knife to something as lame as a girl dreaming about a fisherman attacking her in the shower or hiding under her bed waiting to attack her is just pathetic.

Well there was an alternate ending that was cut from the film. Spaulding sees Otis in the backseat and pushes him out of the car. However, the theatrical ending seems to imply that the surviving girl was dreaming and if shes in the sequel, she'll most likely wake up in the hospital.

I liked the way it was done . . It had some cheese in it though. So let me get this straight. Spaulding wasn't on Otis's side?

Kind of hard to tell. The alternate ending points to a NO. But in the scene where Spaulding is taking the kids on a tour of his murder ride, they show a quick flash of Spaulding or someone who looks exactly like him laying dead on Dr. Satans operating table.
