Seabiscuit - best of the year.....

Here is hoping that all you film guru's has gone out and viewed the film "seabiscuit". It is an excellent film with outstanding performances, music score, cinematography and screenplay along with uplifting and inspiring messages. Excellent film that should make it to the OSCAR show finish line come february. ;) ;) ;) ;)

I'm sure it will be nominated for an oscar. As well as tons of other crap-ass movies that I will never in a chance in hell bother to even glance at.

LOTR Return Of The King will win the best picture, but Seabiscuit has a chance... Freddy Vs. Jason is the best movie this summer tho.

This movie is right up the Academy's alley. Freddy Vs. Jason doesn't stand a chance simply because it's a slasher. I don't really think Lord of the Rings will win either. The Oscars usually go to sappy movies. I haven't seen Seabiscuit so I can't judge it, but I think it's sad that the Academy almost definitely won't give Best Picture to the true Best Picture so far this year, The Matrix Reloaded.

I never said Freddy Vs. Jason was the best film of the year... i said it was the best of the summer THAT IVE SEEN. I was telling Marvin Nash that a movie like Matrix Reloaded could NEVER win best film because pple either love it or hate it... and most film critics dont like it. Thats all i was pointing out.

I liked Finding Nemo alot, and it's a cinch for Best Animated Film. It might could even pull a Beauty and the Beast-type nomination for Best Picture.
Having said that, however, there's no such thing as a perfect film. Even the very best could always be better somehow.

Seabiscuit is by far the best movie out right now, I would recommend it to anyone.

Seabiscuit remains the number one hero film of the summer and I don't see anything in the near future beating this excellent film. If you haven't seen it, you should. It belongs in the don't miss category.

Seabuiscut is a VERY good movie.

But Return Of The King NOT winning Best Picture would be a tragedy. The Lord of the rings has been Robbed TWO YEARS IN A ROW by CRAP like A BEAUITFUL MIND, AND CHICAGO. such crap. ROTK deserves the best picture, and any other oscar that it is nomminated for. they owe peter jackson.

And someone mentioned above Finding Nemo, and the critics loved it and i could see it possibly being nomminated. it really deserves it. I pray that open range doesnt get nomminated becuase it is crap.

the reson freddy vs. Jason isnt going to be nomminated is not because its a slasher, but becuase its a slasher, and it sucks, and it has horrible writing. :lol:
