I already posted this but I think I did it wrong
Ok I just finished the book All-American and just found out that there was going be a movie. Ok,fine but starring RAVEN? I mean no offense to Raven but in the book Sam the character Raven is set to play is WHITE AND HAS RED-HAIR! Raven is black. I think that Disney should really have done a better job in the casting department. I think the best person for the job would be tha red-head from "8 Simple Rules For Dating my Teenage Daughter". Someone back me up!I'm really mad!!

Not that I mind, and I do enjoy chick flicks, but the majority of people on here are males that could care less about this, or even the few movie fan females. Maybe thats what he meant.

Plus Doofy Gilmore bashes majority of all movies, and people come to think of it.

You're basically saying you have a problem with them casting this girl as a light brown skinned black girl rather than a white red haired chick. Hence, you're dumb. and Racist.

Racist? How do you know I'm not black? And I'm not racist I just saying Disney should have stuck to the storyline. Sam's race is part of the plot for crying out loud!

Doofy easy there...
Are people in the "Will Smith For Superman thread" racist??
No they arent, the way a character is portrayed is very important...It obvisouly is to this poster...Doesnt make her racist...

I think that should only play a part in certain situations. I am personally against Will Smith playing Superman. I mean you can't honestly find a black person boring, and nerdy enough to play Clark Kent.
He's gotta be an obligatory white guy. This situation with "All American Girl" is not a big time character ala Superman or Batman.
It's just some book a few people read.

But to those "few people" the way they see the character is important to them...Just as important as the way Superman looks to his fans...

A few I guess is enough to put All-American Girl in one of top spots for the New York Times Book Review. All-American is almost a rite of passages for some girls. Meg Cabot is like the Judy Blume for the 21st century. When you mess with books like this, casting the right character's is everything.

As we talk about racism here.... because ONLY white people can be boring and nerdy. Right...

This generations female species is a pretty sad looking specimen IMO. I mean from the way they dress, to the music they listen to,
to the reasons they worship certain popstars, I think they've taken 20 steps backwards when it comes to existence. I don't think any input they have into anything should be taken seriously by anyone.

...and you?

Sorry, but you really seem to have an 'issue' - you've already accused me of being racist and white trash in the Mary Poppins thread and never bothered to reply to my PM concerning the matter.

Do you walk wth a stoop under the weight of that chip on your shoulder?

Seriously - you have double standards.

Not really. I mean the status quoe is that white people are boring, and bland, and blacks and other races are more cool and hip. Not saying it's true, and all white people are boring, it's just that for the role of a Clark Kent, based on his personality, a caucasian person comes to mind first before anyone else.
