Anybody here watch this Brit-com? I stumbled upon it in late Spring. It's usually on PBS pretty late on weekends. Well, I thought it was alright at first, but I soon fell in love with the damn thing! I had to even go ahead and download season 3. And so for the past month or so, I find myself watching them over and over again. It's my favorite show on the air and it's absolutely hilarious.

Anybody else love this show?

BTW, the American version looks horrible. :(

Ah yes Coupling, I love that show and I think I'll buy season 1 on DVD. I hear about the American version on the BBC ages ago and I really don't see the point.

It's been said to be a rip-off of Friends, but aside from the 3 guys, 3 girls thing, I don't see any comparisons. It's more like Seinfeld in its situation comedy.

Here's the official website where you can read episodes summaries, etc. It really is hilarious. My favorite episode is "The Melty Man Cometh." :D

Well you know american tv, I just think we need to loosen up a bit. American TV is way too hung up on issues, you know, don't want to offend anyone or group no matter how small they are.

I have never seen it on TV, but I have downloaded pry lik 10 episodes so far and I love it, but there's something that keeps it from becoming my favorite show. I can't seem to be able to watch one episode twice, for some reason.

Anyways, my absolute favorite characters are Jane and Sally, they are HILARIOUS. They are two of the funniest characteres on TV and very unique, they crack me up, LOL. Jeff is funny too at times, but sometimes he's just annoying. Patrick can be really funny, but I think he's underused. Susann, I think thinks she is actually hotter and funnier than she actually is. Sometimes she says something clever, but most of the time, she seems stuck up and too full of herself. The person who gets on my nerves the most is Steve. I don't know if it's the character or the actor, but I CANNOT stand him. He's not funny, he's not smart, he's a loser.

The point of an American version is so NBC has something to fill the vacancy left when Friends goes off the air after this season. I think Scrubs is good, and should be moved to 8pm, but after Friends is gone, NBC only has 3 sitcoms for Thursday night, so that's where Coupling fits in. NBC is putting so much faith in it, they've pretty much guranteed the show will take Friend's 8pm slot after this season. I hope they do a good job with it, and that it can be a worthy successor. I heard someone mention it was even closer to Seinfeld than friends, and that's really got me excited. Maybe Thursday nights can go back to what they used to be... But how can I watch Friends, Scrubs, and Coupling this season when I have to turn to CSI @ 9? I need TiVO or something... This TV season should be good. I'm a little scared for the West Wing... But I'm way off topic...
