I've noticed all your PSP threads, with some saying it's gonna be the best and stuff like that.
So i've started a GameBoy 2004 thread, where you talk about next years portable.
Here's the facts:
- Nintendo have patented the idea of downloading media, such as music, games, movies and pictures, from a home-console or PC to a portable, gaming device. (NOTE: PSP doesn't have a hard-drive where you can download stuff onto it - with this patent, i assume the new GameBoy does)
- It most likely will be 3D, such as the PSP and N-Gage. It could also use new Panasonic technology, and have what PSP has - a cartridge with a disk in it.
- It will link up to Nintendo's N5 (N5 is the project name of Nintendo's next console - i hope the actual name will be NINTENDO DOLPHIN)
- It will most likely do alot better than PSP, and N-gage, as it's got the warehouse of games, and in theory, it comes out before the PSP. If PSP is a huge flop in Japan, it will make it to the USA, but if a flop again, most likely won't make it to the UK and Europe. If Game Boy 2004 is a flop, it will make it to the UK and Europe as GameBoy sells tonnes over here.
This is my opinion: PSP has good specs, but i don't think it will sell. One of the best points of getting a GBA is that all my past games would work. That's why it sold so well. It was the same with PS2. I think Sony should have investited into creating extras to their existing consoles, like the camera thing, and not have made a new console
