Curious to see what games people are looking forward to the most.

For me as an XBOX owner its; B.C., Fable, Halo 2, Jedi Academy, The Kore Gang, Vodoo Vince, He-Man, Sonic & Friends, NHL Rivals and Simpsons Hit & Run.

And of course GTA if it ever comes to the BOX.

One thing I didn't see is the RotK co-op game coming out. I'd also like Treason of Isengard.

Spider Man 2 looks sooooooo much better than the first one (saying a lot to me). I love the ability to do "sidequests". :D

Lol, I think you need to go rent that classic again Alien. You're one of the first on these boards that ive seen to not really know about it.

Anyways, yes, the game takes place 20 years after the movie Tron, and I believe is based on Jeff Bridge's son (or the character Alan's son, im not sure). Has a really good graphics engine, and single player driven story line written from Buena Vista studios. Also has tons of different types of gameplay, including the regular FPS, disc play, and even light cycles. Should make lots of endless fun gameplay, singeplayer and definitly multiplayer alike.

The game looks to be sweet and is coming out August 26th. Currently have the two demos released and they're good fun.

On a side note, ive noticed that a majority, if not ALL the games listed are sequels. Well every one that I listed is a sequel. Guess the opposite of Hollywood, is that game sequels, as oppose to movie sequels, are usually better than the predecessor. The only one I listed that I guess really isn't a sequel is Tron 2.0, but it's kind of like a sequel to the movie Tron.

You can get the updated demo there. The 'updated' one has one single player mission you can do. You don't need to download the original to get the new one.

Unfortunatly its only on Gamespot right now, and if you're not a paying member, it'll take quite some time to download.

The FPS aspect of the game is quite unique, and the light cycles are pretty flawless, except you need perfect connections to play them online. It's recommended to play light cycles via lan if doing it multiplayer.

A little delay adding it to your list. What made you decide to add it now? But im glad you did :D. Considering it's the most anticipated game of 2003, the only people NOT wanting it have to have not heard of it or not played the original. But even for someone who hasn't played the original, this game looks pretty freakin sweet.

Oh, and to answer your thought on Half-Life 2 in the other thread, you should be able to run it fine. It's being designed to run on literally all computers. While thats good for some people, they also don't get to experience the fullness of what's expected.

I think I might have just enough to play it to near it's fullness. You definitly need one of the new age graphic cards, GeForce4/FX or ATI, 128mb atleast. Recommends atleast 512 ram and 1ghz speed.

But you can play it on as low as 256 ram, and I think 600mhz of speed. Not sure about the graphics card, but just as low probably too. Disadvantage of having the low specs is you won't get the high tech graphics, great lighting and shadow effects and sound.

Pretty much, considering the games coming out soon, Doom 3, Half-Life 2 and Dues Ex 2.... its recommended to upgrade your computer. Im gonna get some more ram for the release of Half-Life 2.

I never watched Tron, it was a little before my time...but then again, star wars was also. :)

The game looks like its worth giving a try though...oh and as far as the sequels go...they aren't always better but they are always anticipated. Though the only 2 sequels worse than the original that come to mind are DMC2 & Spider-Man 2.

Usually when sequels fail, its because another company bought the franchise, and took away what a lot of the original had.

If the same dedicated company or director makes the sequel, it's usually better. For obvious reasons. It tends to have the same as the first, but with more stuff added. Then better graphics, working engine and sound, control and whatnot. Thus why it tends to be better.

I know that most of the games I play are sequels. Go back and play the original on a lot of them and they arn't nearly as much fun anymore.

Love Half-Life, but I try playing it now and it seems pretty awful, whlie just having the good setup and plot.

Ditto with something like the original Diablo or original Warcraft. Fine, good games. But why play them when you have better?

Most Blockbusters ive been to have it. It has a SE DVD now. True the original VHS probably wont be at any local blockbuster though. But heck, ive seen movies that are not even as popular as Tron, and even older, still out on VHS in Blockbusters.

Thas cool, you won't get flamed from me, youre entitled to your own opinion. Its just that Halo is the "perfect" first person shooter. If you like those, its an awesome game.

Hey Kris, did you see the reviews for ESPN NHL 2004? Very positive stuff. They have skills competitions, mini games on a pond and Live play. I still want to see what NHL Rivals is going to be like before I make my new NHL purchase. Hell I'm still playing NHL 2002.

Do you know if the us version will be the international version coming out in Japan. There will be an extra mission and a little more ending on it. They did the same thing with the original FFX, but never imported it to the states.
