Wrong turn -
1.It's budget was $12.6mil, it has made $15.1mil so far.
2.It's total gross is $15.1mil so far and it's opening weekend was $5.0mil, that's a 3.0 multiplier.
3. A 3.0 multiplier is great for a horror flick.
4. It dropped 47% second weekend. Horror movies usually drop around 55-65%.

what do you think?
on the downside, i think the best flop of all time is Gigli,
TOTAL: $6.4 (PROJECTED)
BUDGET: $54MIL

28 Days later:
1.Budget: $8mil, total so far $40mil and still going
2.Opening of $10mil, 4.0 multiplier so far and that's great.
3.Dropped 40% second week.

I'm so tired of explaining this, "Wrong Turn" had a kick ass trailer cut a month from the films release date. However, the wack MPAA
said they thought the trailer was too intense, so they ordered them to water it down. That took about two weeks and a few days. The watered down version of the trailer didn't hit TV till around a week and a half before the film opened. Hence no one knew this movie was coming out thanks to the MPAA being a bunch of pussies and telling them to de-horrify that trailer. The film should be considered a huge success based on the fact that it made what it made under these circumstances. But there will be a sequel since no one who worked on the film is responsible for the small amount of money it made.

i would think considering the type of movie it was and the amount of money it made also based on its budget i would call it a success, especially if it makes it back up in dvd sales.

1.Cutthroat Island $10mil (Budget: $100mi+)
2.Pluto Nash $4.5mil (Budget: $90mil)
3.Gigli $6.5mil (Budget: $55mil)

I think that the biggest loss-maker of all time was Pluto Nash (for sheer amount of dollars pissed up the wall). But as far as percentage (what it earned as a percentage of what it cost), I think Heaven's Gate holds that record still. Plus it sent United Artists to the wall and ruined Michael Cimino's career, so it'd probably get another couple of bonus points for that, too.
And let's not forget Final Fantasy, which managed to bankrupt Square Soft as well...

...oh, er...and i liked Wrong Turn, while we're on the subject, not even including ED's prescence (that's not how you spell that, is it...it looks wrong...oh, well), either.
