Spy Kids 3D earned above all and i think the only onther competition for this is pirates of the carribean

I don't think it was a surprise. The other two did well also. They are lower budgeted than 99% of the blockbusters out there nowadays which makes it easy for them to earn a profit. Also, the fanbase encompasses all ages which also makes it profitable.
