What songs are by you ears perefect? Whether it be because of lyrics , music or beat, what songs is simply "perfect" to you?

Although I can't think of any "perfect" songs, because what is perfect really?, the two that come the closest to me are:

cupid de locke (Smashing Pumpkins) -- very poetic and I really like the music/ beat (mellow)

All of My Love (Led Zeppelin) -- There is just something about this song that speaks to me and I can rarely get it out of my head for long.

Also close behind is:

Bring Me to Life (Evanesance) -- I think the feelings behind this song really come across well. I can connect well with these emotions having been lost for many years myself.

Yes I know I can be a bit of a romantic sometimes.

I'm not saying perect as in perfection, but to you, it's the songs that are just heh "perfect". They can speak to you like you said, or you can just feel the rhythm, what ever you like.

mine:

Imaginary by Evanescence: The music and the word just blend so well

Voo doo People: I can't turn this song off once it starts. The beats are perfectly melded. Great song.

Smack my ***** Up- Same Reason

1stpklr: The build of the song is great, starting from mellow to the final crash.

Boys of Summer, Don Henley: Grew up with this song, just love singing along with it.

Eye to Eye , Mike and the MEchanics: This one is more personal so it a bit hard to expplain here, but it fits my family. Good song too.

I dunno what perfect means to you guys, and I'm not sure if there are too many songs that are perfect, but if we are gonna list great songs, then I can do that.

How about this one, from Springsteen's album, Ghost of Tom Joad, this is called "Sinaloa Cowboys", 1995

Miguel came from a small town in northern Mexico.
He came north with his brother Louis to California three years ago
They crossed at the river levee, when Louis was just sixteen
And found work together in the fields of the San Joaquin

They left their homes and family
Their father said, "My sons one thing you will learn,
for everything the north gives, it exacts a price in return."
They worked side by side in the orchards
From morning till the day was through
Doing the work the hueros wouldn't do.

Word was out some men in from Sinaloa were looking for some hands
Well, deep in Fresno county there was a deserted chicken ranch
And there in a small tin shack on the edge of a ravine
Miguel and Louis stood cooking methamphetamine

You could spend a year in the orchards
Or make half as much in one ten hour shift
Working for the men from Sinaloa
But if you slipped the hydriodic acid
Could burn right through your skin
They'd leave you spittin' up blood in the desert
If you breathed those fumes in

It was early one winter evening as Miguel stood watch outside
When the shack exploded, lighting up the valley night
Miguel carried Louis' body over his shoulder down a swale
To the creekside and there in the tall grass, Louis Rosales died
Miguel lifted Louis' body into his truck and then he drove
To where the morning sunlight fell on a eucalyptus grove
There in the dirt he dug up ten-thousand dollars. all that they'd saved
Kissed his brothers lips and placed him in his grave

The closest to perfect I've ever heard is Guns-N-Roses' "Rocket Queen". I love the way this song is put together. It starts off full of testosterone and swagger, with a super rocking rhythm, then sort of glides into the middle with the female moans and the whine of Slash's guitar. And then, at the end, a great anthemic beat with surprisingly earnest lyrics that remind everyone of somebody special. "Don't ever leave me / Say you'll always be there / All I ever wanted was for you to know that I care". Maybe I'm just a big softy, but I'm a sucker for lyrics like that.
