New MMORPGs

So I was reading over at IGN about some new games and came across some really cool ones...but by far the one that I think looks really cool is an MMO called Horizons. I kinda need to be revived for my MMO obession as I am a tad over EQ and really think that this game sounds sweet. Anyway, has anyone else been following this or heard about it?

Whats it about? The only MMORPG that I'm interested in after Ultima Online is Star Wars Galaxies.

I'm waiting for World of Warcraft.

I'll try Matrix Online, but I havn't been impressed by the video footage and screenshots. I also need to find out what they heck you're gonna be doing in this Matrix world via constant online 24/7.

We'll see, but im definitly getting WOW, which was voted the #1 MMORPG at E3. It looks to be pretty sweet, and much better than current fantasy MMO games. And for those who stopped playing the old fantasy ones, this will be a reason to get back in them.

Its a very cool concept..apples and oranges tho to SWG. Fantasy setting in a land called Istaria. At one point the Nine playable races roamed freely, but then a wicked force came and took over the lands, monster became undead and the races were driven to the coast. The goal is for the races to take back over control of the land. Lots of stuff involved in that. THere are more races too that were captures by the undead and major in game events can free them and make them available for play. There is also...drumroll please...a dragon, who you can play...and he flies...and spits fire....and is SWEET!!!

If it's apples and oranges to Galaxies, then it wouldn't amount much to World of Warcraft either, which is suppose to be much better than Galaxies. SW:G is the current MMORPG im playing, and im selling my account once WoW releases.

I do enjoy the character selections of the game though, looks pretty interesting.

sorry...by apples to oranges I meant more along lines of story, etc. Very different.

ANd to Wow...no comparison..meant that Horizons, like WoW got some great awards at E3

thanks for pointing out the link to me..fixed it (sometimes I type too fast I guess...)

and yes, the character creations are very nice looking....its also really cool that each race has a home city and in that city has distinct type of architecture so in game you will be able to tell what race city you have come apon just by architecture- which i think is cool.

I also still drool over playing a dragon!
