Actually I can explain that , It's kinda stupid why they changed it yet Kinda Unique.In The Comics And Cartoon Series She was Josie "James" They changed it to McCoy , Because McCoy begins with The Letter "M," just like Melody's first name. Melody's last name, Valentine, starts with a "V," just like Valerie's first name.
