Not anymore. I just bought one for a friend. It was $179.00 with one S type controller. No games. If you buy an accessorie worth $30 or more you get a rebate of sorts. But I reccomend pre-owned games. They are half the price and are usually in great shape. You'll find awesome deals at www.half.com

Well... if you bought it from there, then that's not an X-box Microsoft package deal anyway. The person you bought it from probably already has an X-box, bought the X-box package deal, then didn't want the X-box so he sold it on half.com. Probably got a deal out of it rather than just of buying the two games seperatly.

And JAE didn't say his friend bought it on half.com, he only said you can find good game prices there.

Exactly right. I know, because I just got one myself at that price. No games. Nada. Zip. And mine came from a computer store in the mall.

Medal of Honor is great. Castle Wolfenstien is okay, but I haven't checked that many games out yet so somebody else would know better. I'd like some input on that too.

If your going to get X-Box and have a broadband connection I seriously reccomend you getting X-Box Live

All you need for an X-Box live is a broadband connection, right? From what I've read in the manual so far, you just need to hook up DSL or a cable modem to the standard unit. Or is there more to it than that? I'm asking because my cable modem is in a different part of the house than my X-Box, and I haven't gotten aroudn to setting my home network up. But as soon as I do, I planned on going Live with the X-Box.

You either need a connection cable to go from your cable box to the x bx or you need a router...Then buy the X-Box live starter kit and it will take you through everything step by step

I was saying that if he bought it from half.com, it wouldn't be a Microsoft X-Box package, which is true.

Also im curious if you can still get games with an X-box package, cause he said not anymore. Is this the only package option available?

I'm not sure, but the 180 dollar package is what most stores are selling now.

Well that's just kinda craptastic. I think the two extra game package deal was actually kinda better.

I am addicted to Knights of the Old Republic. You don't have to be a SW fan to enjoy this game. Great RPG, gorgeous graphics and an awesome story line with lots of choices. Just spend the hour to learn it and you'll be into it. Halo of course, Burnout 2, Serious Sam for some wacky FPS fun, SSX Tricky, Godzilla is cool and DOA3 or hold out for Soul Caliber 2.

I have had my Xbox for a few months and I don't have the game yet.
Doesn't that suck??
