In greek and roman mythology what is the name of the boatman who ferrys you across to the land of the dead and what do we put in the eyes of the dead to pay him with?

Well, if I remember correctly, Charon ferries the dead across the river Styx in Greek and Roman mythology, and you put silver dollars in the eyes of the dead (or under their tongue) to pay the souls fare.

I think we should continue this thread with myth questions- maybe we could ask questions about myths that have been made into or incorporated into movies
