I've heard that this would be a side story when FRIENDS gets out of the air, with Joey's character as the main star, and heard that all the gang of friends would make guess appearences at the show
anyone know anything about this show?????

No and personally, I don't give a damn. I hate the show Friends. In fact, I hate it with a passion. Chances are if Friends was an ant, I'd step on it.....and twist my foot.

I love Friends, and I've been watching it since it started. It has changed and slowed down a bit, but it's still a pretty consistently funny show. I've heard that about The Joey Tribbiani show too, and I think it's a smart move on LeBlanc's part. He knows he's been typecast, and that none of the cast except Aniston and maybe Lisa Kudrow are going to be very successful in films. Plus it worked pretty good for Kelsey Grammer so why not him? Personally, I think the guy has grown into a pretty darn good comedic actor.

i dont want this to happen
as much as i love friends i dont think the show could be about all joey it will just get annoying:(
think about it a full 24 minutes (the normal running time for sitcoms) of joey hitting on girls and stupid comments
the only spin-off show i might like is a monica and chandler one or a rachel one

I'm inclined to agree with the Doc, but Onimar is right. Alot of people wrote of the idea of Frasier before it came out.
I dunno - I'd check out the pilot, but it would depend on shat the situation was and who the supporting cast was.

if they do one for him it will be about him trying to get an acting job (so the other cast will probally be sluts and wanabe actors

I haven't heard much about this show. I love Friends, but I'm not sure if I'll watch this if they actually go through with it. I'm sick of sitcoms. But I heard that the name of the show will be called New York, New York.

Come on, give it a break guys. I know you don't have a career after Friends, but don't you have enough money?

I don't want it to happen. I think Matt LeBlanc is pretty cool and would like to see him in more movies. I actually really liked Lost in Space. Plus I really hate spinoffs. I just think they are a bad idea.

Quote: CS!
Talks are accelerating among NBC, Warner Bros. TV and Matt LeBlanc to cut a deal for a Friends spinoff sitcom revolving around LeBlanc's Joey Tribbiani character.
No deals are in place for the spinoff, but it's understood that the principals have stepped up the negotiations in an effort to secure a commitment with LeBlanc in the near future.
Those players also have settled on veteran Friends writers and executive producers Scott Silveri and Shana Goldberg-Meehan to pen the pilot script should a deal be hammered out.
Friends will enter its 10th and presumed final season on NBC this fall.

I disagree. Friends has gone downhill, and a show about Monica and Chandler would suck so bad that I can't imagine it. Chandler's a pu55y and Monica is a b1tch. Although Rachel's gotten better, a show about her would be boring. Joey, however, remains the only consistently funny one on the show. I've been wanting them to get rid of Friends and just start Joey's show for a while. Hopefully all of the anti-Friends fans would give this a chance because this will be a totally different show.

I hope theres a show about Joey. I love friends and I think as long as there was a good supporting cast, and good writers to go along with it, then it would be a great idea.

see i disagree the only people i would watch a series about is a rachel show, a ross and rachel, a rachel and joey show (they have good chemistry together), and a chandler and monica show (i really like those 2)

There is an article on the BBC website talking about the possibility of a Joey show. As well as discussing other spin-offs.

Come on! A Phoebe spinoff would be the only one that got me interested. Maybe branching off on "Smelly Cat"....;)
