How would you change Final Fantasy 8?

It got a lot of mixed reactions, if you could redo it, how would you go about it?

I'd change the fact that all the characters grew up together, that was extremely forced...I'd make it so Squall and Seifer grew up together under their adopted mother Matron.Who later becomes Eda (was that her name?)I would also have made Eda the main villian, I wouldn't have done all that sorceress from the future crap.

That card mini game was one of the best FF mini games ever! As long as they kept that, I wouldn't mnd.

I wish they would change how you map your magic to your attributes - using spells would often weaken your character significantly. Oh well, I guess that element made it a bit more challenging than FFVII where you just had materia. The graphics were such a huge step up from FFVII though!

I'd set it in space. Give the characters light sabers, and make the enemy Jar Jar Binks ;)
