Back to the Future Part III: 9/10
Back to the Future Part III: 7/10
The first one's great emotionally. The second is one of the most gleefully inventive and creative sequels I've ever seen. The third one was too stuck in one place for my tastes, though -- I tired of the western motif. For a Back to the Future movie, it's so-so, compared to other sequels, it's solid. Maybe it's really a 7.5 or even an 8, but I just didn't like it so much.

Something's Gotta Give
2 1/2 Stars(out of 5)
This is a romantic comedy, and I expected it to be as such. It was not a wity comedy, and the laughs didn't come all too often. It would have worked much better as a drama, but there is no way that the director could have pulled that off. Jack delivers a decent performance, Francis McDormand is underused, and while Diane Keaton does look very hot, her performance wasn't-the worse part is her crying montage, yuck.
***Spoiler***
anyway, the worse part of the movie was the ending. I was expecting Jack to 'get the girl' the whole time, but I didn't feel the timing was right. So the direcotr gave the character's 6 months to think it over. So Jack finds out that Diane is in Paris(where she said she would be for her birthday); and he decides to go see her there. Well, he finds at this resteraunt that she had told him that she loved. So I'm like ok, this might work after all. And then Keanu's character enter's the scene(he's been with her for about 6 months now)-in fact he is about to propose to her. Really, at this point when Keanu gets back she should have tolk Jack to beat it. But she doesn't, and maybe she still has feelings for Jack, so I can understand-it wasn't the best thing to do, but its totally realistic. Well the night is over and they are going there seperate ways. Jacks walking down the street, thinking of how he missed out on a great girl, and how much of a schmuck he is. And then a cab pulls up, and Diane getrs out, and they have a little talk and a big kiss. Now I just find it incredibly hard to believe that A.) she would leave Keanu, the man she has been dating for SIX months(keanu's back at the hotel killing himself, I presume), and B.) that atleast it would have taken her a little longer to make that decision...
Just a terrible, unbelievable ending.

It was just a bunch of cussing at children. I don't think I laughed at all. It was like everytime he said, "What the f*** is wrong with you?" it was supposed to be funny but just wasn't. I like comedies that are a little smarter than that.
