Death Note (2006) - A valiant attempt to adapt the manga/anime into a live-action film, with mixed results. I'm not sure I like some of the casting so far, and it just generally feels as though the pacing could be tighter, the shot compositions could be stronger and the characterizations could be more believable. I still need to see the second film before I can truly judge it, though.

If ANYONE has Netflix and watches movies online. I would strongly recommend this movie. It is an odd one. It is hard to explain what it is about. But if you like horror movies with mutated inbred freaks (like Wrong Turn, Hills Have Eyes, etc.), then check this one out. Though VERY different from Wrong Turn/Hills. I had seen this movie back in 2003 when it was released in the US as Bleeders. Wanted my fiance to see it and luckily Netflix had it online. She enjoyed the movie also.
