Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 9/10

Ok, as much as I love this movie, I have to ask and explain something. Now, I've watched Raiders of the Lost Ark a lot, but Last Crusade I have not seen in a long long time. I believe last time I watched it, I was 11 or 12, so I forgot a lot of it. So heres something that bothered me, not enough to lower my enjoyment of the film, in fact it gave both me and my roommate a great inside joke, but I just wanted to know if other people noticed this. I'll put it in spoiler tags JUST in case someone here has never seen it.

So the movie starts out with young Indiana, trying to steal a golden cross from other tomb raiders so it can go into a museum. First, I don't agree with him, I think they found it fair and square, but whatever, he thinks it should go into a museum, thats fine. 25 years later, he is once again trying to get that cross, fine, its ok. However, he then proceeds to get everyone on board the ship KILLED! He kicks a guy overboard, beats a few down and then blows the ship up! He killed an entire crew of people to get one golden cross back that he feels should be in a museum!? Me and my roommate just started laughing our asses off. I completely forgot about that. I mean, obviously the guy who had the cross wasn't evil. He had it for 25 years and he wasn't like trying to use it to conquer the world, he just wanted it for his collection, he wasn't hurting anyone, but I guess wanting it in a museum is justification for killing you and your entire crew to get it back. And then, not 3 scenes later, he's at that collector's home, the one who shows him the grail tablet and comments: "This is a some collection you got here." Ok....so one guy has one golden cross, he's had it for 25 years. Thats reason enough to go kill him and everyone on board a ship to get it back into a museum, but this guy, who obviously isn't a museum has several rare artifacts, more important that the cross apparently, ya know, the grail tablet, and its simply a fine collection? Oh man, for the rest of the movie, we just kept saying stuff like "Its too bad these Nazis aren't on a boat, then Jones would get em!" or sometimes when someone would hit Jones we'd dubb in a phrase like "thats for all those innocent people on that boat!" Like I said, it didn't ruin the movie, I just thought it was weird writing lol Anyone else think that?
