Ron Howard's first major big studio film as director and Michael Keaton's film debut. It's easy to see why he became a star after this movie. Great screen presence and chemistry with Henry Winkler.

I'd heard it was a stunning film about racism, and all it was was a mess that only slightly picked up during the final riot scene. I tried hard to figure out what everyone saw in it and found the movie to be uninterested, nothing at all happend, other than Lee all the characters were bland, etc. I've heard that when people first saw it they loved it, but upon second viewings haven't held it as high.
