Big Nose Kate was more of a plain Jane
Doc Holiday was honorable but more of a scoundrel and a mean drunk.
Johnny Ringo's death was ruled a scuicide by the coroner - they found him under the tree near the creek with an apparently self inflicted gunshot wound to the side of his head.
The Vendetta was known to have happened - i.e. they figured that Wyatt was out there carrying it out - but not all of it was carried out in the public eye - and not all the killing was according to the law.

Couldn't live up to the hype for me, unfortunately. Strong acting from the principle performers along with more than a couple graphically violent/sexual scenes that just didn't add up to much. The family drama didn't really work either. I think Cronenberg could and should have made it darker (tonally) all around, but maybe that's just my own sensibilities talking.

I thought it was one of Cronenberg's best efforts. The sex scenes were explicit, but right for the moment. Well, I thought the family drama worked well. Considering the situation. I mean, you can't expect a family to suddenly gather around and hug after something like that. It worked very well. Probably one of the most realistic films I've seen.

I saw it last year in Imax 3D. It was okay. But the image never was quite in sync, which I found distracting. But I love Imax 3D. I just wish the films were longer. I'm guessing it's a matter of cost.

There were some image issues but it just didn't take away enough from the other exceptional shots. I thought it was a magical experience. Lol,I was moved by this film and not by The Pursuit of Happyness. :(
