I wasn't a fan of Kingdom of Heaven. I thought it was far too long, the battle scenes weren't all that spectacular, and the story just didn't seem to move anywhere after Liam Neeson's character dies. Is it really that much better? I may have to check it out.

I watched 'The Wind in the Willows'...I love that movie! (It's the Terry Jones/Stephen Fry/Eric Idle/John Cleese/Steve Coogan/Michael Palin/Julie Sawalha version) I love all the Python in-jokes etc...and the Weasels are priceless. I think it's funny that I watched this movie a billion times as a kid, and now, watching it, I get all these Python jokes, and subtle innuendoes :P.

Man what a dissapointed movie. I expected so much out of this movie. I didn't really enjoy the first half of the movie. It somewhat picked up during the second half,but I still found myself dissapointing. It was gory I should say and I was fairly impressed by the effects. The part where the girl gets her face welded just left me in shock. Overall though the film was just nothing special like I hoped. I wish a little bit more was explained,but oh well I give the director props for trying. The film left me a little freaked out, something I don't usually experience from modern horror films. I'll have to check out his first film "Cabin Fever" now. Hopefully that's better than this film.

Munich - 10/10

Wow. This was my second time watching "Munich" and it got even better. A film that questions the motives behind terrorism and murder, and asks what is accomplished from murder by responding to it with even more murder? It also does a fantastic job making us feel really empathetic toward Avner after he's completed his mission. In mt personal opinion, the most effective scene was the sex/massacre scene where Avner was having sex with his wife while imagining how the Munich massacre played out. In doing so he takes his frustration over it out on his wife, which I thought was so full of meaning. "Munich" is so good, that it has to be my 2nd all-time favorite movie ever. Very rarely does a film like this come along. The best Spielberg movie I've seen thus far and the best movie of 2005, hands down.
