The good: Reeves was better than I expected. Tilda Swinton was fantastic as Gabriel. The story was okay. Visuals were GREAT.

The bad: It was hard to hear the dialogue over the background noise. It bothered me that Chas was out of HALF the movie then BAM..he just appears in the third act. I don't get it? There for a while, you forget Constantine had a sidekick then boo, there he is.

this one was extremely hard to rate. I love the album and I love how they played the whole album during the movie,but I'm judging the movie and not the music. Well I was left confused durning the whole movie, I can't even really describe the plot at all. It was the weirdest movie I have ever seen and it just seemed so random. Damn shame since I really love the album and was expecting more. I might try to watch it again this week and see if it makes any more sense. I guess it's true when people said you have to be on drugs to understand this movie. I'm not sure if I could even call this a movie, it was more of an experience for me. I'd still recomend any fan of pink floyd to check it out, just to see how ****ing weird it is.

Alexander the directors cut, holy **** was i super bored, this film as advertised on DVD that comes out on Tuesday says, Faster paced. more action packed.. yet this film is sooooo slow and missing much action makes me wonder how bad was it really in theaters, 3-10 is my score, and not to mention that the beginning that was actulaly decent was a HUGE ripoff of Frank millers book 300, witch i hear is going to be made into a movie soon, and a terrible rip off indeed. shame on Oliver Stone!

Pearl Harbor- 8/10

I was really surprised how much I enjoyed this movie. I saw it once before in the theaters back in 2001 and thought it to be alright. So when I was at the store I decided to rent it. I just saw Michael Bay's THE ISLAND and that was decent so I thought that I'd give PEARL HARBOR another try. If you can get past the soap opra sub plots and the bad acting from Ben Affleck and Alec Baldwin you can see there is a real movie underneath. Josh Hartnett and Kate Beckinsale give servicable performences and Cuba Gooding Jr. and Jennifer Garner shine in supporting roles. Also look for a great Jon Voight as the president. The action scenes are really first rate and the over 30 minute long attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii is the crown jewel for the film. For nothing else give the film a try just for the spectacular action sequences. But as much as audiances and critics alike hated the love story I think (now that I revisited it) actually worked for the film. Yes it plays out like an episode of Days of Our Lives but in the '40s, it still kinda works. I found myself caring for the charecters and how the attack effected them. I could care less who Kate ended up with or if Josh would get back alive so he could be a father. I did care about the plain and simple love the charecters showed for each other. The one thing that bothered me is how much they stole from the film TITANIC. The stole some direct quotes from the film in a shameless way of trying to reproduce the same effect. Oh and in no way was this film based on fact, everything but the attack and the Raids at the end were fake. The had a huge creative license here but then again so did TITANIC so why is everything bashing PEARL HARBOR for it. But its a Michael Bay film and if you think about it each of his films steal something from another so this is supossed to be expected from him, sadly. But this is a Bay film through and through with his flashy and stylized direction and camera angles and at times wodden acting. But if you can look past the flaws there is a movie with a heart and a message. It left me inspired and depressed. Which was a tricky thing to pull off. Overall I am glad that I gave the film a second chance, I thinkI was just caught up in hating the film back when it came out that I did not gat a chance to really appreciate everything the film did right instead of focusing on what it did wrong.
