Will Smith shows his softer side as a date doctor(Alexander Hitchens) who wants to fall in love with Eva Mendes's character in the new movie "Hitch".

Alexander Hitchens is a date doctor who works with people who love women. But, his clients seem to know nothing about women such as this one client Albert(Kevin James, King of Queens) who is really off and is a sort of geek who knows nothing about love. Hitchens also is spending time with this other client played by Eva Mendes. He takes her out on the New York Marina, motorboating, takes her to Ellis Island, etc..... The movie lacks an intruging plot and mainly focuses on the basics of being outgoing and dating women.

With the Valentine's Day holiday coming up, "Hitch" is the perfect ticket and most of the funny moments are from the trailers, such as the kiss between Kevin James and Will Smith. But, it is still a midlevel comedy besides those funny moments.

As for Will Smith, he acts pretty good for a softer role than the usual action vehicles he is in and Kevin James does an magnificent job as the client. Eva Mendes is also interesting on screen.

"Hitch" will probably perform like last year's "50 First Dates", another romantic comedy with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. It will also appeal to mostly everyone.

After having, so many movies that were disappointments in January, "Hitch" should bean up knotch step, even though it's midlevel, to some of big anticipated films were going to see this year.

Last Night:

Man on Fire

I was surprised that this movie only got a 3 star rating in one of the movie magazines that I read.... I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, it was a pretty good movie and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it already..... There was just a great working chemisty between Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning regardless of how young she is I think she has a really bright future ahead of her..... and of course any movie with Mr. Walken himself is good enough viewing...... great movie, could've used a little more action but then again more isn't always better

The Grudge

Picked up the American remake of The Grudge and yet again I was happily surprised at how decent the movie was.... I was talking to someone the other night and was told that it wasn't the best movie and that the best bits were all in the trailer..... well I honestly thought different, that little Japanese kid is the stuff nightmares are made of.... mind you I don't really like kids in movies, they scare me...... but it was a really well done simply due to the fact that the original director also took the helm in the remake and it's his story which meant that he knew exactly how it should be done....... more of the same please

El Mariachi - 10/10 After my friend kept on saying "This is my 5th favorite movie ever." I finally watched it and man was I suprised. And the ending was brilliant when Domino is shot and Azul is shot and then El Mariachi gets shot in the hand and then kills Moco! And I like how in the end all of Moco's friends get out of the way when El Mariachi is about to shoot Moco, and then they dont even do anything after Brilliant movie now, and for its time.
