Zatoichi's Flashing Sword ('64)- 8.5/10

Saw this on IFC this morning but I missed the first 30 mins. I think I would have liked it more if I had seen the whole movie. I loved the sword fight sequences and especially the scene with Zatoichi up to his neck in water surrounded by at least 6 swordsmen.

Catwoman wasn't the disaster that I was expecting. It was fairly entertaining, I'd place it higher than LXG but lower than Elektra in terms of quality. I'm glad Berry didn't play Selina Kyle or the film didn't take place in Gotham because I would have hated it completely if it did.

I saw the Grudge in the dollar theatre today, I liked it slightly more than the Ring. It was a little confusing with the way the timeline jumped around but liked the creepiness of the story.

Shark Tale- 8/10. I liked it. The animation sometimes wasn't the best but overall it was entertaining. It was great nonetheless, the animation, only against Pixar it faces heavy competition It was like a bubbling brew of genres and references that would only be available it our post-modern pop-culture society. We're finally seeing our culture reflecting back on itself to tell a complete story through imagery only. Plus the fishy's are funny...

Shark Tale was a lot better than i expected had a bit too much "mtv humor" that i just dont think is funny, but def worth a look


NoteBook aslo suprised me, it seemed like it tryed to hide "who" gets together but really didnt need to do that because it gives it away so often, wasnt any really mystery to the story as it tryed to do, but was a joy to watch, some great young acting in the movie as well

Casshern Looks Amazing, it has a nice music video and Anime vibe going on as well, but lacks in the story department.

Battle Royal, a korean Film about a bunch of 9th graders who get put on a island and MUST kill off eachother till their is one survivor left. Simple Gory Fun.

the Returner is a blast, if you havnt seen it DO IT. The people involved with making this movie should make a Live action Transformers movie,

Surviving Christmas
(Not as good as everyone told ;) It had some laughs but damn this movie has problems BIG PROBLEMS. From IMDB: The production was shot without a completed script. As a result, there were many delays and arguments over what to shoot. Actor James Gandolfini admitted in behind the scenes interview that most of the film was "improvised" and damn it shows. It feels like every day they were shooting a different movie/story. What a waste of potential [cast and story])
