I watched several movies over the last couple days
The 400 Blows: 10/10
Really Really fantastic, i like this better than shoot the piano player
Contempt: 10/10
Godard's best in my opinion, better than breathless
Samurai I Musashi Miyamoto: 9/10
Really cool, only downside is the fights kinda were lame at times because there were no sfx, but other than that great
Hidden Fortress: 8.5/10
Kinda dissapointing because it started out really really cool and then slowed down but still great
M. Hulot's Holiday: 9.5/10
Cool French Comedy, a lot like peter sellers
The Naked Kiss: 6.5/10
Never settled on its plot, and was pretty cheesy
Lady from Shanghai: 10/10
Noir and Welles at its best
Mean Streets: 10/10
Really great scorsese movie, harvey keital and de niro are perfect
True Romance: 10/10
Great everytime, and it screams tarantino

Finally popped in my Last Samurai DVD tonight after buying it back in May.

This movie just really gets to me emotionally. Not to mention that that last battle is one of the best ever put on film.

Natural Born Killers - 6/10. Very nicely stylised, but i think the stylisation was a bit over the top. like having the flash cuts in EVERY SCENE. Still, it had some great moments in it. I think Tarantino would've done it better.
Gattaca - 10/10. Great movie. Period.
Last night: Unforgiven: 9/10. Awesome. Clint really shows he can direct...awesome cast....yeah, great. -1 for having seen it on video (pan and scan :().

Donnie Darko (10/10) Wow what an amazing movie, even though i dont completely understand it yet, and all those other opinions on what happened in the movie, i still loved it. When the guy at suncoast tried to sell me the movie, which isnt where i bought it, he said that tarantino couldnt right half of that script. And though id hate to admit it, he was right. This is probably the Best psychological, whatever you want to call it, movies i've ever seen.

The Bourne Identity - 9/10
I had never seen this before and decided to throw it on tonight because I plan on seeing Bourne Supremacy tomorrow. The movie totally caught me off-guard and kicked my a$$ hard! Slick and stylish directing, tremendous action (great car chase, shootout between Bourne and King Arthur was totally original, fight in the apartment:eek: ) and a very cool and engaging story. Damon was exceptional. Had a feel that was very similar to the first Mission Impossible movie and that is definitely a good thing.

It was marred by horrendous overacting by John Travolta and some ridiculous tonal shifts, but that scene at the family reunion and the rest of the action in the movie make up for it. Decent no-brains action flick.

Jurassic Park 3 3/10 and it only got 1 point because of the only hot guy in the movie another point for sam neil and the last for those amazing raptors...so damn smart and they killed the stupid clown animal abuser from Air Bud 1 i would have given them 2 points but unfortunatelly they didnt manage to kill tea lioni and william H macy.....who ruined the movie by the way....there is just something so wrong about old ppl who have already done it....falling back in love with eachother
and Edward Scissorhands 8/10 amazingly beautiful and touching movie butit had a really sad ending.,....with poor johnny being unhappy....i can never enjoy that

Dawn of the Dead (1978): 8/10
Good, but some parts seemed meandering (obviously, I missed some sort of social commentary). Also, there are a few scenes where the acting doesn't match the intended level of suspense (Gaylen Ross's expression of dull worry when the zombie's broken into the back room near the beginning killed the moment). But the movie builds, and it's overall very creepy, with good atmosphere.
I can't wait to see Night of the Living Dead, Day of the Dead, the remakes, and then Shaun of the Dead...:)

I watched "Dogma".
I give it an 9/10... I really like it, but definitly can't watch it every day. I know there's a lot of people that don't like it. I really dig the strange take on religion (which is the thing most people that hate it dont like).

The British version is the exact same version as the American 50's movie release except a slightly different ending. Both versions are on the 50th Anniversary Special Edition DVD, which I own.

Like this cover too. I looked at Amazon for the 2 pack but there wasn't an image available. I'm assuming that since you got the image from there, that's where you got the movies. So, as long as they are region 1 discs, I'll buy them. I love these type of movies.
