Region 1 Collectors Editions Set 2 and 3

I just got an e-mail back from MGM in which I asked them when the R.1 set 2 and 3 would be released. the reply I got was that the tentative release is for holiday season 2003. I assume he meant both sets as he didn't mention any other dates... Yay!

Thank god. A date has finally been set. All three will be out on Nov. 18th. All of the waiting and guessing and so forth is over. I'm just relieved to see that Die Another Day is in the third set. Now I don't regret waiting when it came out in June.

what about "Never say never again" it wasn't included in the list

Included in Volume 1 are "Dr. No," "GoldenEye," "Goldfinger," "License to Kill," "The Man With the Golden Gun," "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Tomorrow Never Dies."

Volume 2 includes "From Russia With Love," "You Only Live Twice," "Diamonds Are Forever," "Moonraker," "For Your Eyes Only," "The Living Daylights" and "The World Is Not Enough."

Volume 3 includes "Thunderball," "Octopussy," "On Her Majesty's Secret Service," "Die Another Day," "Live and Let Die" and "A View to a Kill."

Never Say Never Again is not a real Bond movie. It was produced by WB while all the other ones were produced by MGM. It's just a rip off Thunderball and a disgrace. If it were included I probaubly would have second thoughts about buying that set.

This is great news, i only need 4 films to complete my James Bond set, and i'm so happy i don't have to wait 2 years to do that

Also i just thought i'd point out that The Dr. No- TMWTGG DVDs are being re-done in DD 5.1 editions, due out next year

it will be nice to finally hear the early bond films in 5.1 surround sound (well except for thunderball which is already done that way on the SE DVD)
