I said somthing about this movie in the greatest comic book movies of all time. Does anyone remeber this movie? I loved it as a kid and I haven't seen it in about 15 years. I think it would make an excellent remake. What do you guys think?

Flash Gordon certainly was quite a character... I remember the TV series, serials, and depending on which movie your talking about... doesn't matter, I can't remember the movie(s).

But I do hear that the powers that be are thinking of making another Flash Gordon movie sometime soon... *fingers crossed*

I hope he doesn't wear his name on his shirt like in the 1980 version.I think we know who the hell he is.We don't need him advertising it.The movie is named after him so I think we can establish it's Flash!!
Remember the Queen theme.That was sweet!!!Being a Huge Die-Hard Queen fan the entire soundtrack to this film is Incredible.Queen were one of the greatest bands of all time IMO.
Max Von Sydow was great as Ming as well.

i doubt they'd ever make another flash gordon, the one in the 80's bombed, and its not really a good character

He does have a cult following, the character is timeless, He's like Tazan he'll never go out of style.He can be brought back at any time.Everyone knows who he is.If they do it right it may be watchable.They'd make a fortune from the ray guns and merchandising.Just leave the shirts at home.

Flash Gordon would kick ass today if they brought it back. Especially if they got someone cool to play him like; I don't know I think Brad Pitt would make a pretty good Flash Gordon or even Mark Walhberg. Tim Burton could direct it and give it his patented look as only he can. I Cant think of who could play Ming yet but it will come to me.
