Well, when you think about it, Luna's not so bad. If you get past the freaky weird part of her, she's a really nice person. And of course there's always Hermione. So Ron's not so bad off. And, who knows? There's two more books left. Maybe someone new will show up for him. Ron'll get his pot of gold.

Yeah, as long as they don't meet Harry. I don't think Luna is bad. It just seems terrible to me that she can say all those nice things about Ron (the girl was muttering under her breath "Weasley is our King" and flat out said she wouldn't of minded going to the Yule Ball with him) and still people think that Harry has a better chance with her than Ron does.

I forgot all about Victor...I hope he was only in the book in order to show who gets jealous of him and hermione.

About the last line: Did you mean that Ron is suspecting their relationship? Also do you think the "others" would all have problems with Harry and Hermione getting together? After you answer that I'll comment more. I wanna make sure that's what you meant.

Yes LOTRfan, I think Ron is suspicious of Harry and Hermione. He would not of snapped so quickly if he did not think something was there. Also, yes I think others would hate them too. I do not think Harry has seen the last of Cho and I do not mean that in a good way. Also, remember how bad it got for Hermione when people thought she played Harry false? Imagine what would happen if they're running around the school holding hands? I also think there is just a few more Harry admirers that would not be so "happy" to see them.

It's weird cuz I never thought that when I started the series...I was like of course he'll live. But lately I've seen that J.K. is very capable of it. And after the fifth book and the prophecy it seems even more likely. I know the wording of the prophecy makes it seem like one will succeed over the other but I think there's a loophole allowing for how it may actually turn out. I hope she doesn't upset all the fans like this but it is a surefire way to make the books memorable. Keep your fingers crossed!

Look at the movies! In CoS, Harry tauched Hermione's hand when she was petrified in hospital wing and hug him (not Ron) in the great hall when she's back.
In PoA (newsweek pics), Harry protected her from the dementors.

Well, she might have decided to go with Harry into town because she knew he was having a harder time of it then Ron. People weren't avoiding Ron, or being mean to him, or making up stupid buttons. They were doing it to Harry. Ron had his brothers and even (if he got completely desperate for company) his little sister. Harry had no one.

As for the kiss, she realized Harry very easily could have died. She's grateful and relieved he made it back ok. I remember back in Jr. High and High School, it would have been *much* easier to kiss or even hug a boy that I liked as only a friend. But I guy I was seriously attracted too??? Nope. I was too shy.

There's an observation I'd like to make. I've found, in all my various travels to HP fan sites, some very strong reactions to the main three leads depending on the AGE of the FAN.

Stay with me here...

on the sites where the majority of the posters are 12/15 yr. old girls, they all *love* Dan and Rupert (almost terrifyingly so) but they almost all think Emma is a first class B****, that couldn't act her way out of a paper bag.

Conversely, in dealing with *male* posters between the same ages, they say Ron's stupid or ugly (or both), and that Dan is a talentless hack, and he would be better off just jumping off a cliff somewhere, preferably while wearing very heavy shoes.

For myself (and I'm 39) I really like all three actors. I didn't like the monotonous facial expression Ron used throughout CoS. I thought it made him look like a coward. (which IMHO, he's not)

It's important to remember that the kids were taking their directions from Chris. (director) They played the characters the way *he* wanted them. In several different articles I've read, given by Chris, he most especially commented on how hard it is for seasoned actors to work with a green screen, or worse yet, the little green ball at the end of a pole. He was amazed at the level of concentration Dan was able to put to work. Remember, Dobby and most of the spiders weren't really there. Dan had to stay focused on a certain spot (the green ball) and still hit his lines.

Again people, just my opinions and observations ...

I don't know. It's seems like the green screen is just talking to yourself which doesn't seem too difficult. I think seasoned actors just don't have the experience with the green screen. But when Dan is talking to Ron in a hurried voice in panic, his facial expressions are really strained. Ron seems to be the only natural character. And Hermoine is like Dan, except prettier.:D

Now what's wrong with that post? (hey you set yourself up, Einstein) Firstly, it should read "putting" rather than "put" in order to make the sentence parallel in structure. Secondly, you should change "in" to "into'...making it "putting words into a syntax." Thirdly, what is the meaning of "unimaginable"? That makes the sentence confusing....sounds like she put the words in a syntax you couldn't imagine. Please don't take this the wrong way, but you have *no* idea how hard it can be.

Staying in character for any protracted amount of time, keeping the energy level up, staying focused on your part can be an exhausting, brain numbing endeavor.

hi again, i've seen your follow up posts, so i understand what you're saying now, but your original intent wasn't clear at first. That's the one big draw back to the internet. It's unbelievably easy for misunderstandings to take place.

I hear what you're saying. That was partly my point. It *doesn't* make any sense at all for those girls to say what they say. They don't know her or anything, yet they say the most horrible things.. You should check out CBBC newsround, and look at their chat site. It gets down right dirty in there. They say she stuffs her bra, she wear slutty clothes, smears on the makeup. Just awful stuff. And why do they do it?? The only conclusion I could draw, was that they were just pea green with envy because she gets to hang out with Dan, Rupert and Tom.
