It will be <i>impossible</i> to match the artistry and magical bond that was and is Paul M. Glaser and David Soul. They truly <b><i>ARE</b></i> the essence, heart and soul of Starsky and Hutch. Why don't you make a modern, contemporary movie with them continuing the S&H saga! After all, that is what fans of Paul, David and Antonio are looking for.

Is there an echo in this thread or what? Anyways, Starsky & Hutch was my favourite detective series with its colourful characters, loaded on action-drama, some comic-relief, and of course that really cool car to boot. They don't make them like that anymore, I mean both the car and the series.

In ComingSoon news item (http://comingsoon.net/news.php?id=2227) dated Nov. 7, it mentions that Oski has seen a trailer to the upcoming comedy remake in which it describes Ben Stiller's Starsky character being a second generation cop, behind his mother who apparently died in the line of duty. Now if this is true, this would take it one more step away from the original S&H story in which Paul Michael Glaser's Starsky was known for calling his mother every Friday night.
