Ok so what New or Old TV shows would you want to be released on DVD. I am sure that Seinfeld is a big choice but I am looking for other not so often Shows.
The top of my list is Home Improvement. This was one of my fav. shows growing up and always find myself watching it whenever it is on. That 70's show is another one of my top picks.
What shows do you want???

I want a load of 80s-90s sitcoms. Like Family Matters, The Nanny, Full House, California Dreams, Roseanne, The Cosby Show ... just about any show TBS has rerun, I want on DVD.
I think having the Friday the 13th series on dvd would be great too, but you couldn't release that without releasing Freddy's Nightmares. So those two also.

I don't really want He-Man but that would definitely be a good one. Been a long time since I have heard that. Definitely Seinfeld. There was a report out not that long ago with Jerry. He said they were working on things, but they did not give any hints as to when it would be released. Wonder Years would be good too.

There was a Friday 13th series?...
cdsmusicbuff
07-11-2003, 01:48 PM
Yes it there was a Friday the 13th: The Series. It aired from 1987-1990 and starred John D. LeMay and Robey. Filmed in Canada, it was about Ryan Dallion(Lemay) and Mickey Foster(Robey) who tracked down antiques from the store that they inherited from their Uncle Lewis Vendredi. Lewis sold his soul to the devil. Originally the show was broadcast through Channel 11 or WPIX and for a few years recently was shown on the SCIFI Channel. Look for it there in the future. Hope this helps. The Soundtrack to the series was also released on cd.

a buddy and I were tossing around an idea the other day,
SNL should do a website that you can create your own dvd of your fav episodes, like have each dvd limited to four episodes and charge a rate per each dvd, like 10 bucks or something. that way you can get any or all the episodes you want and they'd make a good profit, b/c we are tired of watching vhs tapes we recorded off of comedy central. and not everything is on the Best Of dvds.

Can't believe no one has mentioned it before, but...
Quantum Leap!
There's a GREAT Battlestar Galactica set coming out, but it's gonna be a pricey $120.
Someone said Seaquest DSV -- I'd like to have the first season. Season 2 wasn't nearly as good, and Season 3 just sucked.
Space: Above and Beyond -- Only one season, and it was good.
Earth 2 -- I was one a very few people who liked this show. It ended before its time (one season run), though even I'll admit some of it kinda blew. :(
Doctor, Doctor -- A short lived comedy in 1989 that I've never seen, but my friend and acting teacher starred on it for all of its 3 years and he could use the royalties :)
I've gotta say, that I LOVE that TV shows are starting to really come out on DVD -- and they're not crappy DVDs either. They're collectable, with commentaries, special features, etc. I love it, even though I don't have much in the way of TV shows in my collection.

Twin Peaks, I know that the first season is out and from I've heard, it's a high quality set. It doesn't have the original pilot episode, though the European import is available. The import has a different ending because it wasn't certain that the show would go to series and the producer's wanted a return on their investment by selling the pilot as a movie overseas. The import also has poor audio from what I read. Legal issues prevented the pilot from being included in the season 1 box set.
I also read that the second season could be released in October of this year but only in region 2. The reason season 2 hasn't been put out yet is Paramount assumes domestic rights for the series from Artisan beginning sometime in 2005. Paramount possess the master tapes and is not making them available to Artisan.
I would like to see the complete series in 1 set, including the original pilot and the movie Fire Walk With me (with at least some of the 5 hours of deleted scenes). I'm thinking (if this turns out to be true) that Paramount could release the second season, if not the whole series in 2006. What worries me is Paramount not liking to put extras on their discs.
