It has great cinematography. The desert landscapes are beautifully filmed, but the acting is flat, and the whole romantic triangle didn't work in Pear Harbor and doesn't work here.

Great concept, acting, and of course cinematography. However, this movie just drags way too much, especially at the end. Otherwise, a decent flick. I'll stick with Lawrence of Arabia!

I agree, Lawrence of Arabia is the king of desert flicks. BTW, I've heard there are other versions of The Four Feathers out there. Has anyone seen or heard anything of these?

I really enjoyed this movie. The acting was good, some actors better than others, like Heath Ledger, his performance was great in my opinion. The cinametography was excelent and sound was perfect, you could hear what they were saying. Some films like that you can't hear what is said at points but not with this one. The industry is getting better with that lately. :applaud:

I liked it. Bentley did over act a bit, but I love both Honsou and Ledger. Over all a good watch.

I enjoyed it though some parts were...shall we say.....graphic but overall i enjoyed the movie. Though it reminded me, oddly enough of the Count of Monte Cristo....

I never really wanted to see this movie, I thought it might be good. And, I was going to rent it when it came out to rent but I saw still I wanted more. So I just said hell with it, it didn't look that great anyways.

It was pretty good. As others have mentioned the cinematography was great and ledger gave a fine performance indeed. The battle scenes were pretty good too.......

8/10

P.S. but nothing will beat Lawrence of arabia when it comes to brits in the desert ;)

Oh my gosh...I forgot that I asked about this and then it got lost admist the posting madness.
Well. after watching it I liked it- was never too thrilled about it in the first place and found myself frustrated at times- but yes, the combination of the cinematoraphy in the desert and the acting were amazing.

I love historical fiction- can anyone say how accurately based this was??

I keep confusing the Four Feathers with the Civil War drama that Jack White from the White stripes is supposed to be in. Stupid me.

What you said...

I wouldn't watch it over and over but I liked it. The parts in the prison struck me as pretty... real. Just finished reading The Great Game (historical account of Britain and Russia in spy games over Central Asia from 17-1800's), a lot of this movie could have walked right out of that book.

7/10

Not Heath's best but better than The Order that's for sure.
