I think this show is good. It's nice to have a good family show out there. It's a good break from all the action and crime shows that are on tv. I've been watching probably most of the episodes this season. Anybody watch this show too?

Man, do you love everything that comes out of the WB or UPN?

I'd like to just be able to get the WB or UPN.

The only shows I watch on WB is Smallville and Everwood, and I don't watch a thing on UPN.

Anybody watch tonight's episode? I thought the previews were misleading. I thought that Effrom and Collin's sister were supposed to hook up tonight, and Amy would get jealous. I may or may not watch next week's episode, It doesn't look too good, but then again previews are misleading.

Everwood is back again!:applaud: I was very disappointed to see that no one talks about this show. I'm like addicted to it! I think Gregory Smith is awesome as Ephram.
Last night's episode was pretty good but once again the commercials were misleading. They made it look like Ephram and Amy were falling for each other again but the kiss in the preview must've been a clip from a while ago. O and colin's going crazy! I wonder how much longer Amy can take him this time.

I know nothing about this show only that I grew up in the same little hick town as Emily VanCamp. I've met her once or twice.

Everwood was very good last night. I didn't see the previews so I can't say that they were misleading. Amy is really starting to get on my nerves. Why does she still try to take up for Colin after he beats up her brother. That's just not cool. I want to see Ephram become all "Spider-man" on Colin and kick his butt. Ephram needs to move on from Amy because she's never going to like him back. I think Laney (Colin's sis) needs to come back. She and Ephram made a good couple and they were both very depressed people. I notice that about a lot of the characters on the show. But I think next week he finally meets a new girl. Maybe that'll work out (I doubt it). Anyways, as I was saying...a lot of the characters are depressing, but someone who is not is Dr. Abbot. He is probably my favorite character. He's funny. I laughed last night when he came into the diner dressed like H.G. Wells in front of the news reporter. It was classic.

Everwood is a very good show. It is very nice to see a show that is about people and their relationships, not just action, blood, sex etc.

I have four shows I watch regularly. ER and Everwood, I never miss. Friends and 7th Heaven I watch most weeks. So, as an ER fanatic, I can say I think Everwood ranks up there with my favorite show of all time, ER.

And Ephraim is not a fag, just a sensative, intelligent and talented kid going through all the normal teenage angst exacerbated by the death of his mother and radical move west by his father. (Not that I am not glad of the move. The scenery is sure prettier than it would have been in NYC!)

I totally agree with you. Everwood is awesome, especially Ephram:heart: !

Did anyone else see last night's episode? I thought it was brilliant of Amy to blow off Colin for Ephram. I would like to see Ephram beat the heck out of Colin. But it doesn't look like he'll have to now that something has apparently happened to Colin. I think he'll end up dying or something close to it. I also think that we will see Brite and Ephram become good friends. It was kind of funny when Delia gave that little boy a Penthouse magazine for his birthday. And is that new girl going to have a recurring role for now on in the show?

Wow! The last episode was sooo good.
When Amy walked away from Colin, i was like finally!:applaud: I guess what her grandma said the week before really affected her. She actually was a true friend for Ephram when he needed it most. I can definitely picture Colin dying, esp. since he has been getting movie roles and might want to leave the show. However, i would rather him live and amy choose ephram over colin because she likes him better than to have amy fall for him only because colin's out of the picture. O and about BlakeAE's question...I don't think they'll have the girl on the show again. Once the doctors help patients (or in this case kill one of them!) they usually don't have them in anymore episodes. And there isn't really much more they can do with her character... unless they have kate go to professor trot for guilt counseling.

I just thought that maybe since the piano teacher abandoned her she would stay in Everwood. She had such a big part the past couple of eps, it would be kind of wierd if they just dropped her from the show.

LOTRfan
05-10-2003, 09:00 PM
I guess they could follow up on her...but i don't know if it would work because you could tell she regretted her decision at the end and i don't think the writers want to say outright that it was a bad choice. then they'd have to take a firm stance on the issue and everwood usually just presents both sides. Remember the canabus/marijuana episode? It reminded me alot of this episode. The town voted against keeping the plants yet Dr. Abott gives some to that sick neighbor. In the last episode the town and both doctors are against abortion yet dr. abott once again goes around everyone, including himself, and performs it. they are very wishy-washy on this show.

BlakeAE77
05-11-2003, 04:19 PM
I didn't catch that. Or maybe I just can't remember. She decided to have the abortion? I thought Dr. Brown talked her out of it. I'll have to watch easy-view today.

LOTRfan
05-12-2003, 05:47 PM
haha! :funny: Yea she did...it was really subtle though. In case you missed the easy view too: Dr. Brown doesn't want to perform it and he talks to Dr. Abott about it. Dr. Abott says he doesn't want to either but he will because he made a stupid promise to his dad that he would never allow a young girl to feel alone or get hurt trying to do it herself. So near the end dr. brown walked kate over to Dr. Abott's office and she came out kinda upset and hugged Edna. I thought for a moment it was gonna be one of those soap opera things where she really didn't get it and was crying because she almost did. But unfortunately she really did cuz they said something that convinced me at the end.

Everwood was soo good...again!:applaud:
I'm really glad they finally put Ephram in danger. It was always in the back of my mind when dr. brown would consider operating on someone. I would think "what would he do if it was his son instead?" o and i'm kinda mad amy and colin made up but everything can't go my way i guess.

That season finale totally sucks! I can't believe they are going to kill off Colin...what kind of show is this? They definitely are going to kill him...they are just waiting for us to return next season to tell us. Unless of course the writers haven't decided yet and they wanted to leave their options open by not making anything official. AHHH....this is getting like a soap opera. I can't take the stress anymore.

I thought the season finale was a little boring. But I liked how finally Ephram accepts Everwood as his home after his father told him the promise he made to his wife. And I have never liked Colin, and I kind of hope they kill him off.

Well, i don't hate everwood ( And i don't think BlakeAE does either). In fact, I LOVE Everwood! I was just disappointed with the season finale.
O and about Amy...you may want to talk to Steve125...he's met her.

No, I don't hate Everwood either. I think it's one of the best shows on television. I just don't like the fact that Colin suddenly wakes up and the show is all about him.

Yea...i agree. I guess they are focusing on him to show Dr. Brown's "miracle" and also to have Ephram, Amy, and Colin in a triangle.

It is the best...that is unless Colin dies. Then the show has no point. So predictable. Yet if he doesn't die it'd just be a repeat of what happened in the beginning of the series. I hate to say it, but I think he's gone. *sniff* I don't want him to die because it could either make things extremely easy for Ephram or extemely difficult. If Colin's gone, Amy may never fall for Ephram because she'd feel guilty since she thinks Colin truly loved her (which he really didn't since he was planning to break up with her the day he went into a coma). Or it could swing in Ephram's favor, no Colin to get in the way and he could also comfort her during her grief.

Everwood's season premiere is tonight at 9 (ET) so be sure to catch it!!!!

This is my prediction for the Colin outcome (It's in spoiler font in case you find my evidence-gathered from the premiere's advertisement- very convincing) Colin does die...not immediately as a result of the surgery, but because Dr. Brown pulls the plug or something along those lines. On the commercial they remind you that Colin signed his name to the agreement that he didn't want "to be brought back" if something didn't go right and he wasn't in the state he should be. Then they showed Amy yelling at Dr. Brown saying "What have you done!?!" like it was all his fault, which leads me to believe it was Dr. Brown alone who made Colin's death complete (not the surgery itself killing him). Amy is also shown as upset when talking to Ephram about "what's going to happen to us "....meaning "now that colin is gone." That's my theory, even though I hope it doesn't turn out that way. But it does create a nice twist as Ephram is no longer "the one whose dad saved Colin" but "the one whose dad killed Colin." The season could focus on Amy getting over what "Ephram's dad" did and not hold it against Ephram himself (and what the dad did is forgivable since it is, afterall, what Colin wanted....actually, now that I think about it, it is sort of euthanasia which is very bad)

Anyway, I can't wait for tonight's episode!!! :applaud:

Wow, I can't believe they killed off Colin. I'm very happy about that. It was a good episode, but not the best. I felt bad for Dr. Brown because everyone blamed him for Colin's death. And I can already tell that Amy's going to get on my nerves again this season. She's such a moody person.

LOTRfan
09-16-2003, 07:54 PM
I can!!!!!!!!! Well I was pretty sure it would happen in the first place...there'd be absolutely no point in having another Colin cliffhanger if they weren't gonna change the outcome. I'm kinda upset they did it nonetheless...too predictable and no point to the show.

Blake, I was very much looking forward to the scene mentioned in your signature. I can't believe they cut it out! I guess they had to, people were complaining as it was (although I don't see the problem with a long movie- 2 hr. and 14 min. is nothing when compared to LOTR). At least they'll have it on the DVD. And I think the entire phrase from the trailer went something like this: "You're not facing normal pirates; cruel, demented, vicious pirates to be certain. But cruel, demented, vicious pirates who cannot be killed..." The face he made at that moment was priceless. :applaud:

why doesn't anyone talk about this show? I know they watch it...so new topic- who do you like better for Ephram: Madison or Amy?

O and I hate how both Amy and Ephram have found someone they shouldn't be dating or can't. O wait and Dr. Brown too! It's too much parallelism. We get it already. Arghh...

Ok guys this is random but then again it shouldn't be because I have nowhere else to talk about this:

Did anyone else find it odd that in one of the episodes a while ago they had a hermaphrodite kid? I mean, no offense to hermaphrodites but I just found it strange that they used that in the storyline.

i love what they have done with amys character! i have watched this show since it started, the very first episod, but as of late i have not been able to watch it so i watched it today and i cant believe i ever stopped! amys charcter and the direction she is going is so damn good, i cant wait to see more of her storyline it is the best thing the show has done IMO.

I guess it was smart to take the show in a different direction than using (what I thought) the obvious path- Amy free to be with Ephram now that Colin's out of the way. I just don't think it is helping her status with the Amy-haters (it's just making her look more b****y). I personally don't have a problem with her character and I think she's a good depiction of a (grief-induced) depressed teen.
