lately i've had nothing but nightmares. the dreams, even though they have different settings, i'm always trying to run away from something or someone who's trying to kill me, and i'm looking for a friend of mine and i can't find him..

Lately I haven't been having dreams. It's a dry period for me and I don't like it. The last dream I had was when I was at school with my friend, Greg. Since then I haven't had any dreams at all. Kitty give me some of your dreams! :D

i don't know if you'd like mine ceci-chan. the dream i had last night was that i was in some town, and all of the people there (mostly from school) were there watching this movie. i was running around looking for the person but at the same time a few people who were in charge of the town were trying to find me and kill me. i couldn't find any of my friends and i ended up back in the tent where they were showing the movie and the people in charge of the town were going to get me when i saw the friend of mine, and as i ran to him i woke up. it kinda sucked..so no :p

I keep having a dream in which I trapped in a building, the ground is all misty and I'm screaming out this guy's name. I have to get to him because if I don't, something's going to happen to him. But I can't get, and I can't see anything at all. :(

My dreams are strange, funny and probably symbolic. My friends call them "my real name" dreams.

I usually dream in the early morning hours right before I wake up. This morning I dreamnt that my family went to New York to this large house or mansion to watch a group of actors put on a live performance of Harry Potter.

I don't usually remember my dreams, but I finally did last night. I was in a drain system filled with water, and running through it was a train track. The train came through and I was worried about synergy. I don't even know what that is. But in my dream, it made me deaf. Very strange.

I've also dreamnt that Peter Parker(Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker) had a job where I worked and he was horrible at it. I flat out told him his work looked like crap.

I don't remember my dreams too much anymore, but when I was younger I used to have horrible nightmares. Always about skeletons. I still remember those, there were two or three recurring ones.

Hey, I had to revive this thread to post a dream I had while taking a nap a couple of hours ago. I dreamed that I was swimming down the street in front of my house, which turned into a big river that I swam up, which turned into a hotel in Hawaii (I think). Then I ended up fishing somehow in a small creek before I snapped out of it and woke up. I seem to have a lot of dreams of this nature for some reason. They sure are cool.

I had one the other night were I was showing off to someone by doing backflips and summersaults. I love it when I have those sort of dreams.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could record our dreams somehow and study them while fully alert? :)

Oh my gosh. Just recently I've been having the strangest, strangest dreams. They are far too long to explain but they've been weird. I can go for months and months without remembering a dream or having one and then, bam! I'll have one every night for weeks! Bizzare.

I think I had a dream about Jesus once that involved images from the book of Revelations.

I have weird dreams.

The last weirdest dream I had was: I was asleep and Naomi Watts and Liev Shreiber came to visit. This was shortly after hearing about her marriage, I think...either that or the baby. And I was like half-asleep and then Liev wanted to say something to me and I fell asleep and he was all "alright whatever". Then I woke up (in the dream) and walked out and we entertained them.

It sounds absolutely stupid but it felt so real. I love and hate drams like that - hate them for not being real and love them for the experience I get

My last dream involved something with sharks, alligators or just some fearsome underwater creature.

My dreams are often too strange to categorize. But I have numerous *almost* falling dreams. I also fly. A lot of times I'm getting married to people I don't want to marry and sometimes I'm pregnant and I don't realize for many months.

That's all 50 First Dates and stuff

I usually take my dreams very seriously - that and my horoscope

Babs Gordon
04-22-2007, 06:56 AM
I don't really take my horoscope seriously because it's one person's blanket interpretation for a whole month's worth of people. Astrodienst.com is sometimes on, but not always. I'm a pretty happy, satisfied person and I do think too much about my dreams. Usually they're pretty transparent when it comes to interpretation. They are always in color and I remember them about 90% of the time. I do use tarot cards and they are always on.

Most of all though, the only thing I take seriously are my own decisions and the wisdom of the people who know me.

One time I dreampt that Ted Danson was following me all night trying to get me to touch his hair because he wanted me to buy a hairpiece from Ron Popeil.

Another time I dreampt that this annoying lady I knew was yelling off the back porch for the neiborhood to hear her spewing garbage.

Another time I dreampt that I was an audience member of the Oprah show and Oprah was a big mound of talking dirt that moved around on a wooden stage system.

I had to stop falling asleep with the TV on late at night.

------------------------------
I also as a kid, had a reuccuring dream about a hairy monster running off the mountain near my house and almost catching me as I ran inside and shut the door.
Another one I've had often is about being lost in a huge old house with no apparent exit

You guys should try to get lucid dreams.

Amazing experience.

These are some very intersting dreams. I've had fun dreams like driving off of a bridge into the ocean or being in an elevator when the floor falls out. A person has to wonder what kind of stress or anxiety I was trying to work out....

Babs Gordon
04-22-2007, 08:48 AM
I often have lucid dreams when I wake up in the morning, particularly between hitting the snooze button because I'll return to the dream in a conscious state and the story continues.

I actually had a lucid dream earlier this week while I took an afternoon nap. In the dream I was walking around as though I was awake but I was really trapped in an oppressively groggy state. The whole dream I was angry with myself that I had decided to take this nap because the rest of my day was spent so intensely deliriously tired. In the dream I consciously kept asking people to help me wake up but to no avail. When I finally woke up I was still deliriously groggy. It was really annoying because I hate feeling delirious from afternoon naps, but also really cool how real the dream was.

There's a few other things that happens to me and I'm starting to think that my imagination is wayyyy overactive.

Lately for the last month or so I've been waking up about 15 minutes-1 hour after I've fallen asleep and seen things in the air above me. Sometimes it's shadows, sometimes it's figures outlined in light. I'm not convinced they're ghosts, but more constructs of my active sleeping mind. Initially I was terrified by the visions, sometimes they come out of dreams I'm having. Sometimes they're monsters crowding the ceiling. They don't bother me anymore in spite of the fact that it happens almost every night.

Additionally I have daydreams while I'm driving or whatever that I can't help. I think it's a little post-traumatic spillover from when I almost died in a roll-over car accident. I'll have flashbacks to the feeling of losing control and crashing off the road. I'll have horrifying moments where I imagine getting stuck in the wheels of a tractor trailer truck. It's a little bizarre because I'm a very happy person, it's just that for whatever reason, driving still freaks me out and sends me to unnerving places after my accident.

squeekness
04-22-2007, 08:58 AM
I'm sorry to hear that you had a bad accident, Babs, that must have been very scary. It's true that we flash back on life experiences. When my dad died, I kept seeing him in my dreams, It must have been because he was on my mind a lot. Now, when I see him in my dreams, I am happy because it helps me to keep remembering him. :)

it usually depends from night to night...

last night I dreamed I was Superman and I had to turn back time to erase something that I had done, but I was having trouble, so I got the help from Routh's Version of Superman to get me to go backwards in time. But the dream shifted quite a bit, and went from Superman to Jet Li, and then I was trying to save someone's life.
